This small restaurant is very popular with the locals and for good reason, they serve very tasty fish. We love our oysters and although fresh oysters need no cooking these oysters were opened on site carefully so as to not loose any of the sea water inside and they were fresh and tasty. The bouillabaisse was rich and full of... More

21 years ago while visiting Sydney the restaurant Mohr Fish was recommended. It is a very small place seating about 20 people. I have been to many fish restaurants, and this happened to be one of the best ever. While not a fancy place by far, the fresh fish was fantastic. 21 years later my wife and I are visiting... More

After a busy day in sydney we trusted trip advisor and went to mohr fish for diner. The reviews were right: we had an amazing entree (mussels and squid) and a delicious diner. I ordered the baramundi and is was really good. The fish came with a tomato sauce with olives and beans. The place is quite small but there... More

Very popular restaurant, we had barramundi, one in batter and the other grilled. Both were very good sized portions and the food was good. Starter was salt & pepper squid which was excellent.

I've been dining in at and getting takeaway from Mohr Fish for years now and it is still one of my favourites. Perfect for a casual, laid back dinner during the week. We love the prawn and fish dumplings. But you can't go wrong with any of the dishes really.

Giving five stars doesn't happen everyday, but it should not come as a surprise in this case. Is this a fine dining place? No. Does it have an awesome view of the bay? No. Does it have a super wine cellar? Nope. And yet, this place deserves all your attention, precisely for these reasons and more. Its anonymous look is... More

I have been coming here for the last 20 odd years and it never fails to be anything but excellent. Really good value for money too. You can go & have a drink in the Shakespeare next door first & they will come & get you when your table is ready. Their take aways are also excellent value.

Little excellent restaurant tucked away on the corner of a Surry Hills street, great atmosphere, great staff, amazing food, a pleasure to dine at. Would recommend booking a table as it is a VERY small place
