5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

Took pot luck here, stepped out of lift into vast, heaving dining room, and were immediately shown to good table. And then the adventure starts. Ladies circulating with trollies of delights, we soon got the hang of the system, and had delicious steamed prawn dumplings, noodles, salt & chili squid, scallop spring rolls, delicate green veg. It would be so... More

The place is pretty big. Hostess and staff are Chinese but really pay attention to customer. They may seem a bit rude but they did not, at least they did not intend to be rude. Noisy but the food were great. Best yumcha in Sydney so far. We went there so many time and the food still remain same taste.... More

We heard good things about this place so we decided to check it out. We were immediately seated by the hostess as soon as we came out of the elevator. Then without even bothering to explain the menu or how ordering works a waitress served as three kinds of dumplings which we had no idea what they were or how... More

Although shown to a table close to entrance by a nice gentleman who got me a drink and water, in the next 20 minutes I was only offered one dish of dumplings. I watched as tray after tray was pushed past lifts rather than along a row of tables or in the other direction to big groups of people. I... More

Very good food. Broad selection and very tasty. Can be a bit overwhelming at their speed, but you can slow them down by saying wait, not yet. LOL A big place and definitely an experience. We have been twice nd will go back again.

Arrived Friday just before midday ... well it's fast. Before long the table was covered in dishes, mostly very very good ... maybe we hit a day with particularly good seafood. The only complaint was the custard tarts and mango pancakes were a tad bland however everything else was great. We ordered beer as I love it with Asian food... More

Excellent food, obliging service, happy to serve parties of a dozen or so. Can be noisy when full, so conversation across the table not so easy.

Service is efficient. Environment & clean is good. Even though is crowded but you won't feel stuffy. The waiter and waitress can speak English and Cantonese. Food - its average. I give 3/5 stars for Food. Recommended it's pastry. HaoGow and a few dimsum is salty. Price is $$$

We arrived early at 1130 for yumcha. There were already a few occupied tables and it appeared to be popular among the local population. The dimsims were ordinary in taste and quality and prices were quite high. I do not know what their dinners are like.

We arrived just before 10.30 am and by 11.00 am, the place started to fill up. Foodwise, not bad but nothing to shout about. We three had the dimsum staples: siew mai, har kao, fong chow, char siew pao, lotus leaf glutinous rice (came in separate portions separately wrapped for each diner), meat balls and century egg congee. Portions were... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
