The sushi itself was pretty fresh and they had quite a variety of types of fish to choose from however they do not serve alcohol. I like a bit of sake with my sushi. Kind of cool little place though.

Took my wife and daughters to Makoto Sushi Bar. They all love sushi trains. And while I am not a lover of sushi, Makoto had many other options. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Not only did the train have many options, but iPads at each station...More

Makoto had just been renovated recently. Loving the new atmosphere. And upgraded technology. Loving the deliciousness of the food here! Really fresh and nice! Delish! Definitely will come back. A bit more expensive than Sushi Train but it's worthy.

Had not been here for a while as I grew to like Hotaru in Bathurst Street - sadly now closed. Snazzy new interior at Makoto and worthwhile update with the ordering screens......but.... Very limited selection on both the train and in the menu, plus when...More

It's a sushi train, yes, but it's better than most. The sushi and sashimi use fresh, decent-quality fish and there is a good variety of dishes. It is being renovated just now but will open again in a week or so. A very good fast-food...More

I used to dine here quite frequently. The service is always prompt and friendly and the food decent. I ordered some take away last night to bring home, which was freshly made and prepared for me. The quality of the food seems to have gone...More

Have been here a few times. Yesterday (Monday evening) again after quite a while. Surprisingly, it was easy to get a seat. We started off with the edamame and it was pretty bad. I mean one of the worst we had in quite a while....More

Good, but not mind blowing. More pricey than some, nicer setting. Rolls need to be smaller to actually fit in your mouth in one go! Good variety of fish, all fresh and watching the chefs knives skills was fun.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
