Bar Reggio is a busy, noisy inner city Italian restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. The staff are happy and accomodating but the service is not six star due to is popularity. It's great value for real Italian food with a busy and unique vibe.

Pizza; pasta; chips; noisy; always busy; sit out the back if possible; reliable quality; great for large groups. We go regularly and are never disappointed. Service is amazingly efficient in what often seems like mayhem.

Great inner city eatery with a relaxed atmosphere and great service....this is a byo with both indoor and outdoor dining. Italian menu, really good food, reasonably priced and busy....the good places generally are...so book ahead....lunch and dinner. We've been going there for the last 17 years which says a fair bit and we see other repeat customers...we can't all be... More

One pizza, one lasagne, one pesto pasta, and one other ragu pasta was $93.50. Loud but fast service. Sort of weird seeing the host keep trying kiss one of the waitresses who was not receptive. Average food.

Several visits and once again the experience was great. Wonderful atmosphere with the best fun fast staff. The Waiters are extremely busy and booking most days is essential. 5 of us ate Lunch. A mixture of Pizza, Pasta, and Salads. Everyone - myself included said as always fantastic food. We took our own wine and the bill was so small... More

I went 2 times during my trip and even take away another pizza! If you like seafood, I recommend Reggio pizza. If you don't like seafood, Antony's pizza would be perfect for you! Both Pizza are good enough! Steak was okay too. Loving it ;)

Ate here on a friday night at 6:30pm with a group, in the outside eating area it is also byo parking is a challenge as others have mentioned. The waiters were quite pushy which was annoying, I found out later they were trying to get everyone out to make way for the second seating at 8:30pm. So if you want... More

A friend who lives near to Bar Reggio took us to what she said was a great Italian restaurant that was so popular you could rarely get a table! Well, while the location was ok and parking nearby was achievable, the food overall was average as was the menu; this along with a very impatient little waiter who was on... More

I have been here with my family back in 2014, food was delicious and of quality as you would expect from a good Italian restaurant, however my last visit was a bit of a disappointment. Pasta was pretty ordinary, they now use Parmesan (cheap and tasteless imitation of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese) which requires an abundant quantity to add the tiny... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
