Had my birthday dinner here in November for 25 of us, the food was pretty average but the atmosphere, plate smashing and dancing was amazing, we all had such a great night, thank you.

We went there as guests of a closing banquet for a convention. It wasn't a good choice for this event. The place was overcrowded, the chef (whom we know personally and he is a good chef)was extremely overworked. He had to prepare 180 -or so - dinners of 3 courses practically single handed . The service was very friendly, although... More

The calamari dish we ordered was fine. Just before the food arrived the noise in the restaurant, which had been very high because of loud customers, took a turn for the worse. The manager used a loudspeaker turned to maximum power to lead the entertainment of some of his guests, to the detriment of his other customers. The noise was... More

We went for a group dinner and purchased the banquet. The food was not what we were promised. The gluten free options we pre arranged (only some of it arrived). The calamari was obviously from a packet, it was awful and no one was able to eat it. It was hard to get the attention of the waitress to serve... More

We went there for the first time as part of our company's Christmas lunch. The food is OK, authentic Greek, I think. The setting is not modern but more traditional Greek drawings. The host (restaurant owner) try to get people to do Zorba dance with plate breaking, which is great. The dance music afterwards is for the older generation for... More

We were there for a hens night. The ambiance was really lacking for the first couple of hours but the restaurant tried their best to liven things up as the night progressed. The music wasn't suited to a younger crowd. We ordered the $60 banquet but there wasn't enough food to cater for the 15 people in our group. Literally... More

We were there for a banquet for a work Xmas party. Whilst people had fun - that was due to drinking and dancing. The food was poor in value (there wasn't enough food) and unfortunately the quality was poor to average.

We were in Aesop's mid week around end September, the food was excellent and very authentic Greek fare but unfortunately we were the only customers that evening so the atmosphere was rather lacking the Greek taverna buzz! Perhaps at least some Bouzouki background music would have been better than the rather oppressive Russian symphonies. However the owner was very chatty... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
