We had a wonderful lunch at Graze MCA. The location offers a spectacular view to CBD and the Sydney opera. The oysters and calamari starters were fresh , esp. the bouillabaisse was excellent and with a great selection if fish and seafood. As well the steaks prepared as requested. The restaurant is quite pricey and they add 10% surcharge on... More

Had lunch there Sunday afternoon after the overnight flight from the states. Since our room wasn't ready, we went to the restaurant "as is" following the LONG flight from the states. We were by far the worst dressed couple in the place--no matter, we were treated like royalty. As an aside, make a reservation--the place fills up quickly. Good wine... More

Every year I lunch here 2 or 3 times and am never disappointed. The view of Circular Quay and the Opera House is wonderful when not obscured by the cruise ships which is pretty rare these days. The food is excellent and the service perfect. I enjoy.

This restaurant is on museum of contemporary art grounds facing circular quay. Only outdoor seating and with great view of the harbour, opera house and bridge Can tell why it's highly rated here. The crab and green apple salad is fresh and colourfully presented. My main of vegetarian pasta is also tasty and well presented Service is very friendly

I was dining solo and a lot of the dishes were for sharing. So the helpful waiter said I could have a dish off the children's menu if I preferred - which I did. I managed to get a table at the last minute but a lot of the tables were reserved which probably shows ow popular it is.

A wonderful relaxed ambience, with million dollar views of the opera house and great for people watching. The service was brilliant, so helpful but so unobtrusive. We started with oysters and zucchini flowers which were excellent. The the main course of bouillabaisse arrived. I cannot praise highly enough the beautiful flavours or this dish, it was a pleasure to the... More

We had a light lunch here, seated outside the front of the Museum of Contemporary Art on Circular Quay, over looking the cruise liner and ferry terminals. I had the battered fish with chips and mushy (actually, crushed) peas. The batter was light and the fish cooked to perfection. The Affogato I had for dessert came with Frangelica and was... More

Noticed this restaurant a few weeks ago when Ovation Of The Seas was in and thought it might be nice to try for my birthday. We booked and we weren't disappointed. The food was great and the four of us shared 6 or 7 entrees and then had share plates for mains. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and kept our... More

We stumbled across Graze walking from our hotel and discovered a wonderful place for breakfast on an open air terrace overlooking the harbour. Great for people and boat watching - also the ibis who are constantly parading around. Lovely breakfast and great atmosphere. Breakfast only seems to be served at weekends which is a shame.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
