I ate here with a couple of friends while visiting Sydney on a business trip. We were seated at the bar, which was surprisingly comfy, on a busy Melbourne Cup day. The barman was friendly, knowledgable about both the wines and the tapas and we...More

We have visited here a number of times since it first opened and we are still impressed. The quality of the food and wines on offer and the wonderful service we received is a winning combination. It really does remind you of a tapas bar...More

I try to come here whenever I get to Sydney. Lovely decor and vibe. The wine list is amazing. A huge range of Spanish wines plus some from Argentina. Restaurant upstairs or just graze on tapas near the bar. The food is great. Friendly service....More

I visited Tapavino recently for a couple of quiet drinks with friends and a little nibble. Their drinks menu is OUT OF CONTROL - you are positively spoiled for choice, and it provides a lot of detail about the wines. The staff are equally knowledgable...More

Having leaved In Spain in my life, when I visit a Spanish restaurant I look for autenticity. They didn’t have patatas bravas and when I ask for them they offer me chips?? What? And the Jamon with burrata? Not. I suggest you offer real Spanish...More

My family is from Galicia and every Spanish restaurant in Spain doesn't serve Patatas Brava. You had an option of having Jamon Serrano or Jamon Iberico on it's own, so why pick Burrata. Every restaurant in Spain doesn't serve the same food, just like we...More

Walked in and lucky enough to grab a table unannounced. The place was humming and the staff were awesome, the food matched. Jamon was superb, everydish was grat quality and could not fault any part. Will definitely revisit with friends.

We were a table of 6 and were given a table in the middle of the restaurant upstairs. At first glance it seems like a really cool tapas restaurant but it feels as though they haven’t thought through the table and seating arrangements. We were...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,

A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Food, & Friends Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia's first Sherry Bar, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'. Our endless pages of over 300 Spanish wines and 80 Sherries is an important component of our obsession of all things Spanish, and this reflects in our dedication of bringing the most exciting boutique and artisan wines from around Spain to the Australian Market
