The are suppose to be a spanish tapas place. After visiting Madrid last year, this is not like any of the tapas place I visited. I think both the food and drinks are overpriced, however the locals on a Friday night sure to like it

Great spot for a date night or a catch up with friends and family. Absolutely the best tapas in Sydney without a shadow of a doubt. Incredible food and good service too.

We went there looking for a nice Spanish restaurant and we were told that it is a casual Tapas Bar with plenty of good wine selection. The atmosphere is really nice, located next to Marriott hotel. The staff are very friendly and professional. We ordered...More

I visited for the second time for a birthday, last time was lacklustre but I thought I would give it another go. The food was below par, the steak tartare was large chunks of poor quality, grisly meat. Although the plate sat there hardly touched...More

Great spot in the lane way beside the Marriott. A spontaneous decision and we weren't disappointed. Service friendly but not over the top as some establishments can be. Staff knowledge and recommendations regarding the food and wine menu was excellent. Glasses were never empty bonus.....More

Came here just for a drink while wandering around at Vivid. Ended up staying for a lot longer and had dinner. Amazing tapas options! Great tasting food and well paired wine. Some great recommends from friendly staff.

An old school friend and I met here on a cold Thursday night. We ordered doubles of all 7 tapas and they were excellent. Ambar beer was good a good accompaniment. Cosy space inside. Staff were attentive to our needs. Highly recommended.

We were staying at QT which is in walking distance of Tapavino. After a pleasant walk we were offered a table outside on a beautiful Autumn night. The food was delicious and just what we were after. We had eaten at Balcon by Tapavino and...More

Down a cute little alley with some limited outdoor seating. A bit loud inside but great traditional tapas selection and an amazing wine list filled with Sherry. Don't expect any local wines however. I particularly enjoyed the potato pizza thing and the stuffed chicken thigh

We were in Sydney in hot weather and needed a drink. We saw this establishment, which was obviously a restaurant, but at the time with very few customers. We asked if we could just have a drink and were assured that we could and were...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Food, & Friends Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia's first Sherry Bar, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'. Our endless pages of over 300 Spanish wines and 80 Sherries is an important component of our obsession of all things Spanish, and this reflects in our dedication of bringing the most exciting boutique and artisan wines from around Spain to the Australian Market
