This is a busy restaurant and it is busy for a reason. The service is attentive without being overbearing, The drinks range is extensive. The food is amazing. I have been there many times and it never disappoints.

I think we ordered a bit too much because the helpings were quite large for some of the dishes. We had a selection of main dishes only being crispy chicken, lamb rump and pork belly. The chicken was incredibly tender. I wasn't mad keen on...More

The restaurant is in a laneway near Martin Place. There are empty birdcages suspended, with invisible birdsong for the patrons who dine outside. he food is delicious, service great, they will help with menu if you need to be somewhere. I have been several times...More

Dropped in for a quick lunch. Sashimi for entree was excellent. The mains were great as well - really recommend the pork belly - just divine! Can't wait to come back.

We first stumbled upon this cool eatery in Angel Place in Sydney because we followed the sound of dozens of birds frolicking in the middle of the bustling CBD. Imagine our surprise when we looked up and saw several bird cages strung across the alleyway...More

I dined at China Lane with a friend in July 2017. This restaurant is a real discovery. Set in a funky alley location (look up!), the restaurant is busy and bustling, but without an oppressive crush of people. The wine menu is solid without being...More

A must visit when I'm in Sydney. China Lane with its singing canary birdcages creates the perfect atmosphere. It was too cold to sit outside and take in the atmosphere, however inside was comfortable and definately warmer. The food was fantastic. Great choice and variety,...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
