Had a lovely meal at Red Lantern in Riley Street Sydney. We chose the $75 set menu with one change and staff were only too ready oblige our request. The flavours were both intense and complex and suitably spiced. Perhaps more vegetables could have been included in the menu. Highly recommended.

A great dinner with the whole family, which is now a rare event. Had a fading menu which was fantastic. Friendly and efficient staff who catered to all our needs. Would go again.

As a first time visitors, we had one of the tasting menus, Hanoi Hunger. It was a great way to try the signature dishes. Chilli salted squid and rice paper rolls were amazing but so were the other dishes. We sat on the communal table because off a last minute booking and we really enjoyed the company of those around... It's been on my list for a while and we finally made it. No regrets. The chilli saltnpepper squid was excellent (and a yuge portion to boot), probably the best I had in Sydney. The green papaya salad was also very good, as were the broccoli - beans side dish that we had with the pork belly. The latter was... More

I certainly enjoyed my night though the bride was less impressed due to a hidden chilli which found its way into her taste buds . We sampled the Hanoi Hunger tasting ( 7 courses ) and all were fresh and unique . Staff were pleasant and efficient .. the interior didn't really work for my liking with the centre of... More

I've always loved watching Luke on his cooking shows on SBS so eating at his Resto was a wish of mine. I came with high expectations and they were all surpassed. The service was excellent and the interior of the resto was a very stylish nod to Colonial Vietnam. The food was simply a delight and I enjoyed every smell,... More

Went here last year for a business function and decided to take the family back this time. We all watch Luke Nguyen on TV and his food really shines here at his restaurant. Still as amazing as ever and I think it has actually improved. We made a booking on the day on their website and took the 6pm 2... More

Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
