We visit Toshiya almost once a month, either with family or friends and the feedback is unanimous - everyone enjoys the food there. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much hassle. my kids love eating here and the breadth of the menu ensures there is something for everyone. Drinks wise its bio but there is a choice of... Once again did the lunch special at Toshiya. As the main chose the Kingfish which was to die for!! Service is always excellent. Thanks Mika and Toshi. Fish tacos are excellent too. Never had a bad meal or service at Toshi's. Definitely my favourite Sydney restaurant for sure.

Everything is good especially the fish tacos, tuna tataki and salmon carpaccio. Suntory on tap is new and very smooth. Always a good night out.

Last minute booking for a catchup with friends. We shared a banquet menu so we could taste some of the dishes. The fish tacos, salmon carpaccio, soft shell crab, and scallops were an absolute standout. All 6 of us loved these dishes. The rest of the dishes were good with the exception of the wagyu beef. It was unpleasant to... More

My partner and I are locals and we decided to finally check it out after hearing so many good things. The food was really delicious (we both could have eaten endless amounts of the soft shell crab! But sadly, the service was awful. It took 20 minutes before anyone came over to take our order. Then it took a further... More

When I go to Japanese restaurants seeking washoku, I'm generally seeking the perfect harmony of traditional Japanese flavours and beautiful presentation. It should not be surprising however to find out that even what is washoku evolves over time - no cuisine is stagnant - and contemporary Japanese fusion dishes can be washoku too. If you'd like to see this in... More

Lucky for us this neighbour gem is just across the road from where we live. We have friends who live 35km from us who make frequent trips to join us for dinner here because the food is so good. Japanese with a modern twist. Must try are the sushi taco's, salmon or kingfish capparcio and the Oysters. Specials change but... More

Toshiyas food is always fresh, innovative and amazing. The restaurant gets a bit noisy but that's because it's always full. Don't turn up without a booking.

Went for early dinner on a Sunday, no problem getting a table. Very impressed with the sashimi tacos. Who ever heard of such a thing? And yet, amazing explosion of flavour and freshness. Also had the duck dumplings. Juicy, tasty, a real treat. Must go back with friends to taste more of the menu. Highly recommend.

Loved this noisy and crowded restaurant. We started with the mixed platter for two as an entree - soft shell crab, gyoza, sashimi, aga dashi and much more - all fresh and well presented and a meal in itself. We followed with a caparccio of sashimi with truffle oil which was fabulous. Service was friendly and fast and food was... More
