Had a very pleasant fish lunch in Potts Point - fresh fish - lots of dished to choose from - helpful and attentive staff

This is a very popular spot although some locals still feel it is over-priced for what is offered. The wine is typically expensive - the food, for what is present, is good however again is over-priced. Plain old fish and chips and a mussel dish should not be that pricey. As were the starters

Great restaurant in the middle of Potts Point. Really good wine list. My faves are the fish and chips (big enough to share between two) and Cos salad. Friendly efficient staff. Restaurant welcomes and can usually accomodate walk-ins, but best to book if you don't want to miss out.

Having discovered the delights of The Fish Shop, we ate here four times during the 8 days we spent in Sydney. The fish was always perfectly cooked and tasty, whether it was blue-eye trevalla, snapper or mackerel. Of the seafood we tried, oysters were fresh, with fabulous flavour, scallops sweet and octopus tender. They also do a delicious salad, quinoa... More

We stayed on Challis avenue during a recent two month trip to OZ and just happened upon this restaurant on the first night. What a find! We both love fresh fish and Australian wines and spend a good deal of time trying to find superlative dishes and a 'nice drop'. The skill of the cooks are quite unique. To serve fish... More

We went twice to the Fish shop for dinner and were always pleased with the food. while the menu is limited, you will always find a good selection of fish and sea food. Ask for their recommendation and their catch of the day.

We wandered in here by accident as you do in the restaurant zone at Potts Point. We had a great meal and some fun in a packed house late at night. Trying to have something with prawns and chilli, we ended up with something our young, just off the plane, German waitress thought was prawns but weren't called prawns. The... More

Had lunch with a couple of old and dear friends. The service was exceptional, the waiters lots of fun - we ate simply, fish and chips, school prawns and a salad plus a couple of glasses of riesling to rinse it down - everything was fresh, sympathetically prepared (no heavy sauces) - brilliant! We now plan to make this a... More

We went to this restaurant on a hot summers night looking for good food and good conversation, we were disappointed. The starters were ok, nothing special. For mains we ordered battered flathead, one of our favourite meal. The food served to us was one of worse meals I've had. My local does much better food. The fish was completely overwhelmed... More
