I came here for breakfast while the rain poured outside. I had the avocado squashed on toast with poached eggs. It was delicious, although for the cost I would have expected two slices of toast with avocado. Coffee was nice and strong. Service was fine.

A group of 5 of us visited Tiger Bakers last weekend for breakfast and we had a great meal. The atmosphere is relaxed, informal and very friendly. The staff were excellent we thought. We really enjoyed the food as it was fresh, inventive and plentiful. We really enjoyed our time here and I strongly recommend a visit.

Great little cafe. Friendly staff and good food. Loved sitting down by the windows looking to the street seeing the people walk past. I would definitely go back on my next trip to Sydney. :)

This place is a treat everytime, and it's never superfull. The dishes for breakfast/brunch are great, prices are good and the staff is mostly very very friendly.

Friendly staff. One fresh fruit salad with lime yoghurt - most of the fruit seemed freshly cut - the lime yoghurt minus the honey was delicious. Iced coffee not cold enough and served already sweetened - why would you pre-sweeten an iced coffee? Expensive at $20+. Comfortable seating inside. Some curbside tables outside.

Hotel restaurant was closed so were sent to Tigerbakers. The place looks scruffy but to my surprise the foist was good. The chef does a great poached egg!

I had eggs benedict and wife got pancakes. Pancakes were delightful with light batter, delicous cream and berries. My eggs benedict were great with Spanish ham, Aussie bacon second time. Some of the best flat white coffees too. Highly recommend it.

It's Monday lunch and I'm having breakfast. My vegetarian breakfast arrives not looking too pleasing. Hash is oily. Bread isn't evenly toasted. Avo isn't sliced. Mushrooms are firm. Egg is egg which is ok. Rocket dressing was nice. Move on - find somewhere else to eat - this isn't anything special and at $18.50 including the $1 fee for using... More

This is in my view, simply the best breakfast cafe in Sydney. Service. Location. Food. Drinks. Decor. Flawless. Be careful if parking nearby. The attendants are ruthless and very much present.

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
