This is a very small little Italian cafe/ restaurant. It looks like a wine bar from out side and we didn't go there the first time but it has lovely Italian food. They have changed their hours but are still open Friday night. If you are staying at the Pullman then it is very close and a great choice.

We 'discovered' Quattro Passi while trying to find a casual restaurant with 'good' food. Great choice for the vegetarian, me, and my friend, not. Friendly service, lots of freshly made, specials of the day and clearly a favourite with the locals (always a good sign) who were greeted by their first name and responded to the owners in the same... If you are after an authentic super reasonable prices fresh Italian food, it is the place to be. Roby and Vicky are just the most gorgeous friendly host and their cuisine is superb. Whether it is lunch or diner I have never been disappointed. Pasta...ravioli... Tiramisu all those home made dishes are just as beautiful as each other. A soup... More

We ventured here mid week and ordered both the gnocchi and risotto which we rated very highly! The owner is very friendly and originally from Italy - service was great!

Always pleasant service and great food. Nice folks who run the place. Bonus that they serve wine by the glass.

We found ourselves staying at the nearby Pullman Hotel rather than near the Rocks where normally stay and discovered this local gem. Daily menu which although limited is fresh, generous and rivals the better trattorias we like so much in Italy. Worthy of a visit or two. They serve breakfast lunch dinner depending on the day. Unfortunately closed on the... More

I was recommended this little gem from a couple that lived in the Darlinghurst area. Off the beaten track, Quattro Passi is a lovely little restaurant. The employees are friendly, and the food is absolutely beautiful. So fresh & full of flavour, l try and get back for another serve of their Beetroot Gorgonzola Gnocchi whenever l can.

Dinner outside on the street on a beautiful evening was excellent. Service prompt, knowledgeable and unfussy, food carefully prepared, well made and very tasty. Prosciutto with figs and ricotta served on a bed of rocket made an excellent entree to share, it could have had bread but was fine without. Meatballs and mash sounds like a pub dish but better... Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
