Greeted at the door from a gent in a bowler hat and suspenders instantly brought visions of a Clockwork Orange and the night become more bizarre (in a very good way) as it progressed. The service was top notch and the staff appear to be true lovers of the product. I never got the impression they were working...more happy to... More

We visited here on a weeknight, so it was relatively quiet, but booking would be wise on weekends. From the outset you know there is going to be drama involved when you ring the bell to to allowed entry to the foyer. You are then ushered into the softly lit main room and seated promptly. The interior is a bit... More

It's pretty authentic and therefore quite cool looking, so it definitely offers a different experience. Personally I found a shot of absinthe for $16-20 to be way too much, and I didn't particularly enjoy the one I ordered or the taste of the others my friend's had ordered. I felt service was a little slow too. It's a novel thing... More

even just by peeping into the window, you'll know immediately that you'll be in for a fantastic experience... once you enter, you'll be immediately transported into a whimsical wonderland. as you get seated, you get introduced into the many different varieties of Absinthe --- i thought there was only one type. i found it a little confusing looking at the... Ended up there by chance, and it opened a whole new door for drinking experience. The environment, the staff and all the effort they make to ensure you are not just having a special drink, but experiencing something new and as close as it can get to authentic, teach you the history and how to appreciate absinthe. I am know... More

To begin our exciting experience at absinth saloon we approached a black painted corner house which looked like a possibly vacant property, with no signage and decorative iron bars across both windows and doors. After questioning if we were at the correct address we noticed on the door there was a little sign advising to ring the door bell. We... More

Interesting atmosphere, really cool decor. Staff were very knowledgable and well presented. Came here with a small group - small venue wouldn't recommend a large group. Drinks were reasonably priced, would recommend booking in advance.

I had never heard of this place until last week. We went here with a booking and it was great! Very quirky and a great atmosphere! Staff were dressed up and very helpful and informative. There is a limit of 3 Absinthe drinks per person and a large array of Absinthe on the menu so was certainly a nice treat!... More

I have been going to the Absinthe Salon for quite a few years now and each time I go, I can't wait to go back! If you want to experience something completely different before going to dinner in the city, I highly recommend this place to kick off your evening. Set in a Parisian-styled parlour with staff in themed costume... More

This neighbourhood continues to distinguish itself as a shopping destination, offering the best collection of one-of-a-kind boutiques, designer brands and flagship stores in the city. Today, this area has evolved into a hub of media, design and professional services - a colourful and diverse place equally known for its antique dealers, art galleries, cafes and pubs. Strolling down the street on a Saturday morning, you’ll see a mix of students, artists, hipsters and a few all-nighters from Oxford Street, the “Gay Capital of Sydney”. In this vibrant neighbourhood you will find bohemian chic and modern style co-existing side by side.
