We stumbled across Baia while walking around Darling Harbour and are so glad we did. We ordered from the $35 Sunset dinner menu (3 courses plus a glass of wine) and were very happy with everything. We had excellent service as well as excellent food and we would be happy to return again!

Baia is a great restaurant... The food, the wine, the staff and the great service... all exemplary. Our meals had so much flavour and were so filling. Great value for money. Highly recommend Baia!! We'll be back.

Restaurants around Darling Harbour are often overpriced so it's great to find a place offering a total bargain. The 3 course sunset menu with a glass of wine included is excellent value for money. Add to that friendly and professional service in a wonderful location and you have a totally winning combination. We've eaten here quite a few times and... More

My family visited here in early January and we ordered coffees for seven adults. We waited fifteen minutes or so (the place was deserted as it was early morning) and we were told that they were very busy. After twenty-five minutes we said we had to leave and so they gave us our coffee in takeaway cups with no apology... More

Nice Italian restaurant overlooking Darling Harbour. Pleasant, friendly staff and good food well cooked. Read some negative reviews but our experience was quite different. We were shown to a nice table with a great view of the harbour and comfortable seating. The waitress was constantly refilling our glasses with water and quickly responded to our every request. There were specials... More

I arrived to have an early dinner - tempted by the $35 sunset menu special. Having enjoyed a meal here before a while ago I was looking forward to some delicious food. We were seated in a a not so great position - however it was busy so I understand this. We then waited a good 20mins to order and... More

On a holiday which we were in Sydney for 5 nights, we came to Baia the Italian twice! I cannot recommend the Sunset Menu they provide more highly. For $35 we recieved entree, main, dessert and drink (non-alcoholic or house beer or wine). Not only was this a complete bargain compared to most other restaurants close by, the food was... More

We stayed on our boat at the marina opposite the restaurant over the new year period. It had been a busy week full of some great restaurant experiences and we just wanted casual pizzas on the boat. And Baia deliver..... perfect. The manager was rude and the pizzas went into the bin. They were COLD.... OVERCOOKED and tasted like cardboard.... More

We went as a family with three children. The staff were rude, obnoxious and unfriendly. The food was poor quality. We would definitely not recommend this restaurant. It is clearly targeted at luring tourists who won't return. Do not go here.

Six of us paid $85-00 per head to go here on New Years Eve. It was overcrowded, the NOISE from the cafe above was overwhelming - LOUD, DEAFENING, the canapés they served were very ordinary - small pieces of pitza, something awful wrapped in Chinese see through wraps; I had to spit out it was that awful, round dumpling type... Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
