Friday night out, excellent music, excellent service. All staff were really friendly, including the bouncers. Great atmosphere will definitely go here again!

This is a place where you can find a lot of backpackers and international students but I prefer it when it's less crowded and with 5$ you can have a lot of good time with the stand up commedians.

I went to the World Bar with friends on New Year's Eve and we ordered drinks, a burger and a pizza (and paid). Thirty minutes after the pizza arrived, the burger was yet to appear. We asked the waiter and he told us that actually, the guy who cooks the burgers had left at 4pm and that they could offer... More

World Bar is a nice enough bar in the King's Cross region of Sydney. Decent selection of beers and wines, and some interesting looking cocktails. Live music most night as well... But what really sets these guys apart is the burgers they serve from nearby On It Burgers. Just outstanding. Brilliantly flavoured patty with well balanced condiments, and cooked to... More

Saw an amazing show here - "Hidden Sydney" - a must see show highlighting Sydney's history over a few decades showing the best and worse of the Cross - before it was gentrified. Great atmosphere and so realistic.

Came on a Wednesday, very early. Had a couple of beers served by a bartender who thinks he is the best in the world.. Tea pots later on but service took ages and they tend to let girls be served first. Also takes way to long to make the teapots that's why cue gets so long. 2 spaces were open... More

Been here for 5 or 6 times in a short span of 4 months. Ideal location. Good vibes. Great Music. Good crowd. The moment you enter, you'll come up to the first dance floor which plays RnB and Hip Hop. Small dance floor but good vibes. It would be better if dance floor was a little bigger with better lightings... More

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
