I ordered two pizzas via Foodora. The estimated delivery time was 40 minutes. Foodora were in constant contact with me and couldn't explain the delay on Lucio's end. I had to wait well over an hour for pizzas that were the consistency of cardboard and weren't sliced properly.

I've been here few times, to be honest in 2010 was wanderful, maybe also for lack of other good pizzerias in Sydney, now is still good, the ambient is great, the guys are all from Italy, if I remember well, from Naples, you'll enjoy your night. Last time I haven't found the 'pastiera', hope they'll get it back.. good job!

I eat here on average once a month, the food is both consistent and excellent as is the knowledge of the staff. A very good place to bring friends and family who are visiting.

Absolutely great pizza! Lucio is located outside the usual tourist area and it's not particularly attractive.. but pizza is delicious and authentic. We were sitting outside and truly enjoyed it.

Decent pizza but they tried to give us (cheaper) mozzeralla when we ordered the Burrata. When questioned they miraculously returned with actual Burrata. I guess they thought they could get away with it.

We had a short trip to Sydney and this was our second visit to Lucio. Just like the first time, the food was delicious. We had an bianche pizza that was amazing. Light dough with fine toppings. Accompanied by a simple but tasty salad. We topped it off with a lovely dessert. Our next trip might just be to Italy.... More

Another one of my favourite pizzas in Sydney, this little institition has a no bookings policy and if your not here by 6.15pm, it is hard to nab a table. The pizzas are what your here for but the entrees are also delicious such as a caprese salad with burrata or slow cooked optopus or the antipasto platter. The pizzaiolo... More

Do yourself a favour and order a Siciliana pizza. You will not be disappointed. Yummy dough with great texture from the marinated eggplant cubes and ricotta cheese..Very nice service too. I also had the panna cotta as dessert and it was very good too.

A friend and I always try pizza places whenever we travel and when staying in Sydney a few weeks ago we chose Lucio Pizzeria. The restaurant itself wasn't too far from our hotel, but is a little walk away from the main areas of Sydney. It is set amongst a square with a few other Bars/restaurants and is a great... More

This is the Zetland branch of Lucio's. The pizza is the real Neapolitan item - as good as you can get outside Napoli. The eggplant parmigiana (provided it comes hot) is perfection. The gnocchi are the best I've ever had. The staff are friendly and obliging and the ambience is pleasant. About the only downside is that you have to... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
