We were looking around Darling Harbour and the CBD - but everything seemed overpriced and nothing was catching our eye - Until we stumbled on this place. It looked very busy from the outside (usually a very good sign). The waiters were busy but attentive and the food explained the busy atmosphere. It came out very quickly and tasted incredible.... Very busy and noisy during dinner time. We have been here twice but the food never failed. You should defiantly go and try the lychee duck, and they even make the pasta by them self, and you can watch them doing so, how awesome is that?

Ridiculous service. Let me start by saying that chef's gallery is our favourite restaurant. Although we mostly dine at the Parramatta one, we occasionally go to Macquarie centre one as well. Both have had terrific service. Town hall is another story. Straight from the get go, they advised us to sit next to another young couple. Literally next to them,... More

The selections, signature dishes and the view of the kitchen especially of the hand made noodles being made is simply fantastic. The prices were also reasonable for a city central location. The restaurant gets filled up within 20 mins of opening so if u r not there by 6pm u will have to take a ticket for their que. The... More

Chefs Gallery is well known for producing great Chinese food. They have numerous locations due to the quality if their product. We visited their Town Hall site. A large restaurant situalted in Regent Place, with an open kitchen catering to the masses, with the staff easily servicing the restaurant without too much fuss. The menu is a book of excitement... For me this was a walk-in experience as I knew nothing about this delightful restaurant. The food was excellent and looking into the kitchen while a chef was masterfully manipulating/pulling udon noodles and absolute feast to the eyes! Highly recommended.

Called in for a quick dinner before pictures right next door. Food was delicious and was served quickly. Chicken soup was clear broth with chunks of chicken. Superb. Pork and prawn dumpling in home made noodles and clear tasty broth. Would certainly recommend it.

We arrived just past 6pm on a Wednesday evening and the place is already quite full. There are some empty tables but all reserved. We did not have to wait long for a small table for two. We ordered the Lychee duck, a vegetable dish and the soft shell crab. All delicious. We did not have a chance to try... More

The wife discovered this place, recommended the noodles. Taste really good, just like home. I would recommend this place. Just give the dim sum a miss.

Description
Chefs Gallery is a Sydney Chinese dining experience like no other.

Its exceptional menu presents masterpieces from all corners of China in a sumptuous kaleidoscopic explosion of fresh and exciting flavours, textures and aromas.

At Chefs Gallery we embrace the Chinese cultural heritage of sharing meals - where dining is casual in its structure with no designated entrees or main courses. Instead, our Chapas (Chinese style tapas) offers an extensive range of creative dishes with a modern twist that are specially prepared in delicious small portions for sampling and sharing with family and friends. Among these are some traditional and familiar dishes that have also been given the Chefs Gallery Chapas treatment.

The signature Chefs Gallery fresh, handmade noodles take centre stage behind the glass-walled kitchen. Patrons can watch the culinary theatre as balls of special noodle dough are transformed to form the finished twists of delicate noodles, in a blur of dexterous hand movements by the master noodle chef. From traditional noodles to new flavours like spinach and squid ink, these silken strands are all freshly prepared, being pulled, split and folded in minutes and cooked specifically to your order.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
