We stopped here for coffee and light snack before a lunch time concert at the Sydney Recital Hall. It is only metres from the concert hall. The coffee was a dark roast and nicely made but a bit bitter. The snack (almond croissant) was very...More

It's definitely worth 4 stars for the food, the buzz and the location. Perfect for sharing plates too. Just a pity about the blonde French waitress who couldn't give a damn. Less up-sell and more engagement would have been nice, along with an apology for...More

Set in a narrow laneway in central Sydney, Ash Street Cellar is an ideal location for a meal or even a drink of wine from lunchtime until the evening. While the menu is not vast, the food is delicious and the service is exceptional.

Chose Ash St Cellar for a meal after a matinée, as it’s lunch/dinner menu is offered all afternoon (i.e. there is no 14:30 to 17:00 hiatus that many restaurants have), and hence there is no need to book. Tucked away in secluded Ash Street adds...More

We called into this delightful little bistro wine bar at 9pm after a concert at the nearby Recital Hall. We were met immediately and shown to a small table and given a menu and advised of the water choices. The staff were delightful. The tables...More

Great little restaurant in the heart of Sydney. The wait staff are very friendly and informative, providing us with great wine recommendations. The Charcuterie is to die for with beautiful cuts of meat served in generous portions. We had two mains - the Spatchcock &...More

Great little wine bar in the middle of Sydney. Have visited for both drinks and dinner. Delicious share type food with a nice wine list. Service is great and the setting is nice, almost like you are in paris. Only negative is that the tables...More

In the laneway near to the Ivy; this place is across (and owned) by Felix. Had a business lunch here and it was very good. Great ambience and very Melbournesque dining outside. Well shaded and a good buzz. Charcuterie board was one of the best...More

frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a

Description
A modern European-style bistro, Ash St. Cellar and wine bar is intimately tucked away behind ivy. Classic café chairs, warm wooden décor and Parisian 'plein aire' seating creates an ideal hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Sydney's CBD. Head chef Zac Ahrens creates stylish European tapas with French, Italian and Spanish influences to compliment the fabulous array of wines. The charcuterie starters are a favourite, but leave room the tart of the day. Franck Moreau, Merivale's award-winning Master Sommelier, presides over a world-class wine list that doesn't disappoint. Now also open for breakfast daily from 8.30am weekdays.
