The Four Elements Restaurant & Bar in the Mercure Hotel adjacent to Central Station is a great place for a quiet dinner or that special occassion. Easily accessible on the first floor the staff are attentive and helpful, the food is first class and the service good. The menu is well balanced and has a good selection of gluten free... More

The restaurant is good. The food is not bad. The service is a little weird. Was still eating desert and was presented with the bill and then the lights got turned up really bright. All the atmosphere was immediately sucked out of the experience. Shame really. I asked why the lights are turned so bright and the manager explained that... More

We stayed at the Mercure so dined here on 3 occasions. Good restaurant (even better if you are Accor members as you get 50% discount). Wine list was adequate, menu had some good items and they really looked after the kids. Staff were efficient and remembered us on our second visit to the hotel. Good safe option if staying here!

This nice restaurant suffers from being a 'hotel restaurant'. On the whole, it has nice decor, pretty good food, good service... but just seems... well... ordinary! And that's a shame. A few more patrons and a bit of liveliness would light this place up and it could (I think) be pretty special. Definitely in the upper ratings for hotel-chain venues.

We enjoyed two buffet breakfasts during our two night stay at this hotel. This restaurant is located on the first floor. Offerings were good and included eggs, bacon, mushrooms, sausages, pastries and bread, yoghurt fruit and a self serve coffee machine. I would certainly be happy to return to this hotel and include the breakfast in my room package.

This lovely little hotel restaurant was unexpectedly quiet tonight. Despite that, the food was on the better side of good, though not so good that I am inspired to RAVE about it. The staff are attentive, without being intrusive, and the experience was, on the whole, pretty good. A little lacking in ambience, as can be expected from a hotel... More

Good choice of food on menu at a reasonable price. Comfortable bar area too. Staff very friendly. Worth trying if you are staying at the Mercure hotel.
