We discovered the Alpha on our first visit to Sydney three years ago. Staying in Sydney again, we went back the Alpha Gourmet cafe and it was just as good as it was when we were there before. On the second day the lady on the counter remembered what we had ordered the day before! They must have many regulars... More

This cafe covers all bases from hot meals to sandwiches, fruit salad. Sometimes can be very busy and hard to get a table at lunch time. Cook Asian meals for lunch as well as burgers, fish, sandwiches and rolls. Food is very good, the people are nice sometimes calling you brother or sister. Other with other reviewer, I do not order... They do the basics as well as you can expect. Toast, coffee, fruit salad, banana bread. All yummy. Not so keen on their salads though, better options around.

This is a busy cafe with a range of both hot and cold lunch food. There's a good selection and everything's fresh, colourful and tasty. The service is very quick, very friendly and responsive. Seating is at a premium on a wet day though. I had a great turkey salad sandwich here for lunch. Lots of customers get their very... More

Stopped by this cafe for lunch last Saturday 22 October, 2016. They were closing up at 1:30PM but were happy to serve us. The Menu were a mixed of Chinese and Modern Australian. Excellent prices - had the Burger with the lot which included a fried egg, bacon, minced beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato and even beetroot on a large bun.... More

For a tasty home-cooked meal at a fair price, served with charm and style, look no further. Very customer-friendly: On your second visit the owner, Hanna, will know your name, your favorite meal, and how you like your coffee.

The perfect location for having a cheap but very good breakfast before heading out on the ferry or starting a day of sight seeing. Not fancy, no frills but really really good food, home cooked, all fresh! And the owners working there make it a very pleasant environment. Really impressed and been eating here every morning. MUST TRY!

This is one gem of a Café at Circular Quey, adjacent to Hotel Marriott Sydney. They serve all breakfast favourites and some more. Vegetarians will equally love this café for their salads, fresh cut fruits, Eggs, mushroom, coffee, grilled vegetables. In case you are staying at Marriott Sydney, DO NOT bother to have breakfast at the Marriott and just step... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
