Always a pleasure to wine and dine this establishment. The wine list are superb, its like a bible. You will almost find any local wines here. Food are excellent too, we ate the beef sirloin wagyu which is perfect, start with squid and pork belly and parma ham... excellent dishes..

Thursday nights in November aren't boom nights normally. But it was good to see how busy this restaurant was last week. Why? Because they deliver a really good product with excellent service. Our special ribs were absolutely delicious. The fish received just as much appreciation as did the famous mixed mushrooms. Desserts were excellent too. Not inexpensive but definitely of... More

Situated in the 1936 Emil Sodersteen designed Art Deco building, the dining room is exquisite! Tall granite pillars, marble walls and elegant windows. The menu is vast and the idea is to share dishes. The steaks hardly need a knife, the lamb cutlets equally tender and interesting choices of accompaniments. Lots of seafood on the menu - will need to... More

Great service, great flavours and attention to detail on the service. However, some of the sides were disappointing, courgettes were floating in water. Someone ordered the last dish of what my friend wanted at the same time as us, so my friend missed out. She ended up only eating half of her second choice as it wasn't really what she... More

This is a must visit in Sydney. The Art Deco decor is beautiful and it has an open kitchen that is part of the ambiance. The menu is very good and the meat is simply excellent.

I visited here for a Friday night dinner with my sister. We booked ahead (thankfully) and the place was humming when we arrived at 7.30pm. We were seated immediately and the service was quick, professional and attentive all night. This is a really special place- a wine book (there's no way that much wine can be called a "list") to... If your visiting port Douglas, this place has the best food. Great service and the restaurant is hidden away from the busy main Street. Kangaroo loin was amazing and the only way to eat kangaroo. Tuna and reef fish are out of this world. Definitely get the croc karage, you won't be disappointed, it taste like chicken!

Sydney restaurants are generally over-rated and way too expensive -but this place could easily be one of the best in the country -exquisite food, brilliantly prepared -minimum fuss - I'd eat here on a daily basis but then I'd just have to move into the Wentworth around the corner and the windows are too small. Great restaurant -treat yourself!

Right in the very heart of Sydney, this beautiful, ex Bank, Art Deco building, houses a very upmarket and fashionable bar and restaurant. Absolutely packed on the Thursday evening we went for dinner, a real buzzy bar where we had delicious cocktails and then into the enormous restaurant for dinner, a truly awesome space! Food very good overall, the oysters... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
