For every anniversary, we splurge and try a fine dining restaurant .Our 9 course degustation at Sepia with the matching wines surely did not disappoint albeit the high cost . Every course was special, all food allergies were also catered for . Our favourites were the abalone dish and the sea urchin but at the same time the waygu beef... More

After being spoiled by M with watching la la land at gold class, we continued birthday celebrations with a dinner reservation at a secret location in the city. This surprise location turned out to be Sepia Restaurant, one of the finest restaurants in Sydney with the coveted three hats. Certainly one that I was curious to try for a while... More

We travelled and eaten at a lot of places so to have the opportunity to eat at Sepia was definitely and lovely expectation. Customer Service - excellent. Wine - excellent. Food - Good!! Good for reasons in that it was consistently good but nothing above and beyond less comparative establishments we have dined at. It was a well thought out... More

I love to eat. I was lucky enough to score this reservation and from the beginning I knew we were in for an awesome experience. From the moment I walked in and informed the staff that my mum was in a wheelchair, they quickly jumped to help accommodate her needs and wants (demands). They actually came outside to help her... my partner and i love fine dining. we were very excited to spend our anniversary at sepia, which came highly recommended from friends as the #1 restaurant in sydney. i should also preface this by saying that we are melbournians, so perhaps we are just used to a different style of fine dining. in short, sepia was average, and if... Dined here on the 24th for my birthday and it was well worth it! The food was delicious and the optional cheese course was definitely my favourite. All the staff were lovely and attentive, some of the best service I've experienced in Sydney. Prue and Kei deserve a big thank you for organising a nice little birthday dessert!

I purchased a $300 gift voucher for my wife and I just before Christmas not realizing that this would not get far at Sepia. On top of this I had read a few really scathing reviews so we headed here for saturday lunch last week with excitement but also apprehension. The 9 course degustation was the only option at $220 so... More

My husband and I were graciously greeted by a lovely host and were treated wonderfully by a very knowledgeable and charming servers. Each dish was fantastic and perfectly paired with wine. Every bite complimented every sip. Very small portions but that's all you need because the flavors are immense!

... which is less noisy, a third of the price (a table next to us with three ladies made the same observation), and is far friendlier (or less pretentious, even less intrusive in terms of service). For our first monthly anniversary we wanted something different. And it was. One of the write ups I saw suggested it was dark in... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
