The Argyle is full of the Australian history feeling in a unique building. The food is delicious. Service is friendly and discreet. The inside area is just divine with low lighting, cosy nooks and relaxed seating. The outdoor area is open and full of atmosphere...More

Happy hour has $7.50 espresso martini’s and margaritas. The staff are so incredibly slow at making these cocktails that we stood in a reasonably short bar line for 45 minutes just to order beers. I make a point of avoiding this venue. Horrible service. Rude...More

The Argyle would be 1000 times better if the food was less expensive and the bouncers treated people equally. To start drinks and food are outrageously overpriced you would think for the amount of people they get each night they would make the price of...More

We had an absolutely TERRIBLE time at the Argyle on 8.05.18 . The security guards are thugs and had very bad people skills, something any reputable business should sort out immediately . After booking a table for 30 people for a surprise birthday for our...More

I almost forgot that the Argyle is open during the day, so when I headed there after a lazy brunch I was pleasantly surprised. In the harsh Sydney sunshine, the Argyle offers a cool retreat in their shaded outdoor area. The drinks menu is concise...More

The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and
sailors from the old nation. As the oldest
neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone
streets host more than 100 heritage sites and
buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney,
Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi
“ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the
waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The

Description
There's no question that The Rocks is home to some of Sydney's most intriguing historical stories. And our landmark venue, The Argyle, has a unique, rich history all of its own. The sandstone walls that house The Argyle had seen some interesting sights well before we all hit the dance floor.Situated in one of Australia's oldest buildings, The Argyle is richly historic, while maintaining a uniquely modern take. With five bars held over two levels, we have a variety of areas to suit any mood. Whether you choose to hide away in a booth, gather friends around the high tables, chill out in the lounges or venture in to the open-air cobbled courtyard - the choice is yours. With capacity for up to 1800 guests, it's also the ideal location for large-scale events and celebrations.
