We had walked past this place the evening before and it was packed and security outside. It was lunchtime and the place looks very nice so we thought we would try it out. It was fairly quiet for a lunchtime but the staff were extremely...More

We had lunch here and enjoyed the courtyard seating. The food was average, typical pub food. Service was fine and the staff was friendly. Great place for a decent, quick lunch and a cold beer.

Terrible Security and Service. Claimed I was on drugs and had to much to drink with no evidence at all. They said that I was dancing too excited, what does that even mean?! When I tried to explain that I was not under the influence...More

The food is relatively cheap for the area you are in. The menu is typically pub grub, but it is cooked well and the service is good.

Delicious pizza. We ate while watching some fun comedy on a Monday night. Couldn't believe it was FREE. Alcohol was reasonably - high priced but as everything else was awesome, we didn't really mind. Service at the bar was a bit vague but not a...More

Just a few notes to make. Your security guards that were on the door between 5pm-6pm on Saturday the 21st of July need to get a grip. After spending a few hours having a lunch in circular quay for a friends birthday we decided to...More

The Argyle is full of the Australian history feeling in a unique building. The food is delicious. Service is friendly and discreet. The inside area is just divine with low lighting, cosy nooks and relaxed seating. The outdoor area is open and full of atmosphere...More

The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and
sailors from the old nation. As the oldest
neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone
streets host more than 100 heritage sites and
buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney,
Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi

waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The

Description
There's no question that The Rocks is home to some of Sydney's most intriguing historical stories. And our landmark venue, The Argyle, has a unique, rich history all of its own. The sandstone walls that house The Argyle had seen some interesting sights well before we all hit the dance floor.Situated in one of Australia's oldest buildings, The Argyle is richly historic, while maintaining a uniquely modern take. With five bars held over two levels, we have a variety of areas to suit any mood. Whether you choose to hide away in a booth, gather friends around the high tables, chill out in the lounges or venture in to the open-air cobbled courtyard - the choice is yours. With capacity for up to 1800 guests, it's also the ideal location for large-scale events and celebrations.
