Over - rated Asian Food of very poor quality with no flavour to test your taste buds, the small quantity and relatively high prices certainly does not in any way reflect the quality you would expect from such a big food chain with numerous outlets in NSW and VIC. The steamed dumplings were only tasty dish out of four ordered.... More

We visited Din Tai Fung midweek at about 2:30pm and it was relatively quiet. We were first in the queue and our food was served very quickly. This was very different to previous experiences during Thursday late night shopping nights when it was not unusual to queue and wait for food for over 30 minutes. For lunch we shared the... More

This place is over the top delicious. Whenever I am in Sydney I eat lunch here, and I always get a steamed roll or a steamed dumpling. They are making them on site, and they are absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

I've been here a couple of times now and they're like a well-oiled machine. Throngs of people clamouring to get an order in? No dramas, they're all over it. There's a line, there's enough staff, food comes out in reasonable time and it's delicious. But let's face it. I'm just here for the Xiao Long Bao. And they're fantastic. The... More

A party of 11 we tried all of the vegetarian dishes and were extremely impressed with the dim sum, although all of the food was delicious. The pricing was reasonable and the service was efficient. We were in Sydney for 7 days and ended up going back 3 times either for lunch or dinner. A must try drink was the... More

Here I am on my first visit to Din Tai Fung to see what's all the fuss is about. This restaurant's name is well known all over Asia and is staring to appear around Sydney. The ordering process is more complicated than it needed to be with forms in tiny fonts needing to be filled it by pencil as you queue... More

This restaurant is very popular. After an organized wait, where we received a order menu and electronic number, we were seated and quickly served. The meal was to the table within 10 minutes and was delicious. Soups tasty and dumplings fine.

I loved the fresh tastes, the soupy dumplings, the clinical dress of the kitchen staff. Staff were mostly friendly and the busy buzz added a nice vibe to this urban, almost fast food dumpling restaurant. Very good tasting, everything. Quck, no fuss, reasonably priced meal in the heart of World Square.

We were at this outlet fairly early as the established restaurant has a very well known queueing factor. With that timing we had no trouble in getting a table. Like most franchised food outlet else where, you are given a menu list to tick for your order. The food came relatively quick (remember it's fast food) and the taste turned... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
