As regular locals, we enjoyed another fabulous meal this evening. Vicky &’her team always provide a friendly welcoming environment. The Garlic Prawns, always a hit with us - were again fabulously fresh & tasty. It was good to see some menu changes and specials again...being offered. I had the Sea Bream special - and it was truly delicious. Beautifully cooked fish, with fennel / clams & New Jersey Royal potatoes in a lovely light white wine & cream sauce. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed a huge tasty Lamb burger & lovely chips. We shared a crème brûlée with home made shortbread to round off a truly enjoyable meal.More

The food is just brilliant. I'm a card-carrying non-vegan but out of interest I tried their vegan burger. It was lovely! Back to the meat... Their roast dinners are just sublime, and I wish I could get the recipe for the gravy they use!! In...addition to the above, the staff are clearly trained well and the customer services is mostly excellent.More

As a regular at The Brook - for the first time I reserved an area in the bar for a surprise 70th Birthday get together. I ordered from their buffet menu for 30 people & as always - Vicky and the team excelled themselves ....The buffet was fabulous & all the staff were so attentive and helpful throughout. I met with Vicky prior to the booking to review everything I wanted and the whole event ran like clockwork for us. A great time was had by young & old !More

Had a great Sunday lunch with party of 4 adults and 2 children in restaurant area of The Brook. Food as always was a high standard and cooked perfectly. Lovely presentation. We had Sunday roasts and a super salad. Another nice thing was the ambience,...no background music just nice hubbub of people chatting.More

The in-laws decided to take me and the wife out for a meal and they would only go to their favourite pub/restaurant The Brook. On arrival we were shown to our table and we ordered a drink. We got our drinks ok then ordered our...food. The starter arrived in good time, the main course, however, took ages, we were starving by the time it came. One of us ordered a coffee as well which didn’t arrive, so we had to reorder it after about 20 mins. We had dessert too. Then we asked for the bill, after another 10 mins we had to ask again. The food was nice but the service wasn’t very good, and a couple of waiters didn’t seem to know what they were supposed to do and the other one spent far too long chatting to customers. We used to love coming here but I don’t think we’ll rush to come back.More

Because of an Internet glitch, our booking for 3.00pm was accepted although the kitchen closed at 3.00pm. As we were travelling a long distance (from North East London) it was not possible - when informed of the glitch - to get to The Brook before...3.00pm. We expected to be told to 'suck-it-up' but instead the kitchen was kept open and the only thing we had to suck-up was the excellent (and good value) food and wine. During the meal the service was also highly efficient and very pleasant. The Brook is outstanding.More

My partner & I went to the Brook for lunch yesterday. We only had two burgers & two drinks so nothing complicated. However, the service was very fast & the burgers were juicy & tasty. One minor negative was that the Pepsi gun seemed a...little watered down for my taste. Staff were friendly and there was a great atmosphere in the pub. The pub garden is large and is almost perfect on a sunny day. The only downside with the garden is that it is right next to the main road so can be a bit noisy. The Brook has definitely improved over the years & I would fully recommend it to anyone wanting a quick bite to eat or a few drinks.More

Have found the food at this venue very good in the past however this time felt it let us down, my wife ordered the brie for the first course and Caesar salad for the main both instantly forgettable, the croutons on the salad were soft...and soggy, I had the prawns to start that were very nice and the Steak pie although tasty was very grissly, maybe the main chef is on holiday but either way need to up their game.More

The Brook continues to be my favourite pub to eat and drink. Every member of staff are friendly, welcoming and courteous. Every time we visit we get a fantastic service with a smile so a massive thanks to all of the staff, Egzona, Will, Dan, Serena...and...all of the other staff, sorry I don't know your names. The staff are also so honest, my friend gave an extra £20 note to Will by mistake (he misread the bill) and Will brought it straight back to our table. Thank you very much Will :)More

Hi. In the Evening children are allowed in the restaurant area. I’m afraid we only allow guide dogs.
