First visit to this restaurant. Food absolutely stunning. Roe deer was melt in the mouth with truffle sauce to die for. Crab ravioli was the best I've ever tasted. Definitely recommend a visit. Shame they are not open more evenings.

Visited Melrose , whilst walking stumbled on the Seasons at Gattonside, they only open Friday and Saturday and have 2 dog friendly tables , so we were lucky to get in for the last night of our stay. Absolutely fabulous, my husband had scallops to...start and I had the salmon, lovely fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. For mains there was venison and I had lobster Thermidor which can be disappointing in this country but was a good size and perfect. Bea was an excellent host, service and atmosphere good. If we are in the area again we would definitely make a point of returning.More

Having managed to get a babysitter at short notice we headed down to Seasons. We decided to partake of main course and sweet each and were not disappointed. I had a lovely piece of venison which was perfectly cooked and served with a pepper sauce,...leaves, fries as well as flat mushroom and tomato. My wife had lamb served with dauphinoise potatoes and braised lettuce. For puddings we had a homemade choc ice and crème brûlée followed by coffee. Overall a very nice, well cooked meal which we greatly enjoyed.More

We had a really excellent meal here - huge relief after one grim evening on Skye! A slightly noisy family celebration close to our table was noticed and a move to a quieter spot unobtrusively offered and effected without any request. Asparagus tart and scallops...were followed by lamb venison - all superbly cooked. Hardly room for dessert but the affogato was just right. This place is a gem and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and recommend it to others.More

The food is fine, would say nothing special but perfectly good, however not Michelin star. Unfortunately the place is absolutely freezing to sit in. This spoils the whole meal experience and something they should address. Sadly we would not return, but would not advise against...a visit if you wish.More

Fabulous meal for NYE from their Seasons At Home option. Opted for main and pudding and weren’t disappointed. Special mention has to go to the Raspberry Cheesecake which is the best cheesecake I’ve ever had.

Absolutely fabulous meal at this great little restaurant. A real “find” for our stay in the Jedburgh area. The food was amazing, the staff were great and it was just a really fantastic meal all round. Hopefully we will get to go back before we...go home!More

Roger and Bea, thank you. You catered for my family birthday where 14 of us were gathered, at Abbotsford, last Saturday. The dine in meal there, which was so well organised and which we collected, was excellent. Thank you for your flexibility on numbers choosing...what to eat from a good menu. Maybe as more people become vegetarian there will be a wider vege choice but the Vege Wellington was excellent. I enjoyed the fish and the roast vegetables were really good. If any readers who live relatively locally, and wish to entertain at home, then don’t hesitate to order and collect a lovely meal from Seasons. Thank you again R and B.More

Well, this was a revelation. What a wonderful restaurant. The food was exceptional, incredibly tasty and well presented and the staff are friendly and put you at your ease immediately. It is a warm cosy place. It is clearly very popular and used by many...local people. I went with a friend who knew the staff and the owner and who also picked up some of their delicious soda bread to take home with her. I will be going again when I am in the area.More

Four of us dined at this restaurant last night. It was a delightful meal: great service, a wide-ranging menu and a friendly, warm ambience. The four of chose from the broad menu: meat, fish and vegetarian and all of the dishes were superb. Very many...thanks to Roger, and to Bea who helped with the wine list and managed the front of house. We will be back for the fresh produce cooked lovingly with an attention to detail.More

Unfortunately had suffered an injury prior to going for meal and was wearing a neck brace, not helped off with coat -ok Mix up with current menu and old menu -not all items were available. Husband had starter -Ok but not exciting. I had lobster thermador...-tasted overal of charred fish -not inviting, served with triple cooked chip which had a stale greasy flavour and a bowl of undressed salad leaves. Carafe of wine was poor too in flavour. Did not have desserts!More

We've been here many times and last week, for a combined anniversary and birthday treat, my wife and I enjoyed another delicious meal well worth the £100 we paid. The evening turned sour however when, despite a second reminder, we were kept waiting for over...30 minutes for the bill. 10 minutes ok, 20 minutes and one is understandably becoming a little impatient...but half an hour? Had I known that it would take so long we might have ordered coffee and some mints and put up with it, but just left to drum one's fingers on the table turned what should have been a memorable evening into a much less memorable one....Grrrrr!!More
