What a shame! Beautiful country secluded setting, lovely building but AWFUL terrible food! We each had three courses and all three were disappointing. Tasteless and bland! Could have been wonderful but sadly the chef needs intense training. Can not recommend.

Saw a picture on Facebook of the new improved afternoon tea, which looked very delicious but below is a picture of what we received.I must say comparing my picture to their picture how very disappointed we were. When you picked up the cheese sandwich, there was more cheese left on my plate than in the sandwich. The salmon sandwhiches were... More

What an absolute gem. Loved the place, loved the food, loved the staff - Bethany is delightful and Reese, the chef (proper chef too), is excellent. The other half and I both had pan fried prawns for a starter, then Chris had Pork Belly, Scallops and Squid Rings, with accompaniments. I had the best piece of salmon ever, with white... More

Had a lovely evening meal here last night. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The atmosphere is amazing (although a little dark) and we loved the quirky bar area. The staff were lovely and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Norfolk for a wedding. We had a groupon voucher which made it very good value for money. The lovely young people running this restaurant gave us very good service and the menu had plenty of choice including some different dishes. This restaurant deserves to do well and we would certainly return... More

We asked for steak for our main and I have to say it really was delicious and I was kinda worried as I like mine well done. The... More

Afternoon tea/baby shower. A delicious selection of sandwiches and cakes in a beautiful setting. The size of our group slightly delayed the service but staff remained polite and cheerful. We had a lovely afternoon thanks to all at The Dark Horse.

Booked on Friday for a table on Saturday and were surprised to get one as it had always been really busy. We have been here several times before and it has been good to OK Only one other table was taken. There were no other reserved signs on any of the other tables. When our order came what was on... We've dined here a couple of times. Once as a couple and then as a large group. The set up is interesting comprising converted stables and a large dining area. We've always found the food to be good or very good. In our opinion, there are a couple of things that detract. 1. Significant delays between ordering and being served.... More
