Great food, great views, great service! We picked this place because it was close to where we were staying in Big Sur. My fiancé and I had an early dinner and were seated right away without reservations.

While there is really nothing to complain about, there isn’t much to write home about either. My boyfriend and I ate there for both dinner and breakfast during our Big Sur stay. It’s pretty expensive for what you get (keep in mind the effort needed...More

Sat outside, so had a great view but didn't see any whales. Service was slow and the iced tea was awful. Food was alright,we shared a fish sandwich with fries but very expensive at $30.

Managed to spot a few whales during our lunch! The food was good, I had the grilled tuna melt. My friend had the BLT which was not the best.

Was travelling down PCH1 while visiting Big Sur and stopped here for lunch. The restaurant does have ocean views and had a decent menu for those travelling with kids. Mostly a pass thru food spot for tourists and locals. Food and service was good.

Stopped here on drive back to San Francisco. The location is superb and that is what gets 1 star and the other was for the service which was ok but not really deserving of the 20% mandatory service charge! Four tuna sandwiches served with fries...More

This small restaurant was able to stay open during the slide reconstruction because the workers stayed here and patronized this business. It is expensive for the value being out of the way. We came as a foursome. The clam chowder was good, lots of clams....More

Ideally located for a refreshment stop and break during drive down Big Sur - small restaurant and a coffee shop next to the gas station. Allegedly you can sometimes see whales off shore (the clue is in the name) - didn't this time

Drove by on the way to Big Sur. The peppermint licorice tea was surprisingly good. Pastries were fresh and atmosphere was cozy.
