We had dinner here and really enjoyed it. The salmon was delicious! We returned a few days later for breakfast and that was good too.

We been there 3 times for breakfast. Food was good but what makes the difference is the lady in charge. A true host!

John Gray's is not a typical Puerto Morelos restaurant. We love many of them, but John Gray's shines in it's food, service, and ambiance. The restaurant is small and casually elegant, quiet and comfortable. The chili-rubbed salmon and stuffed chicken were both excellent, as was the arugula-beet salad. The corn chowder seemed a bit lacking in spice, but was still... More

Good morning, Thank you very much for your review which we consider we must clarify, our pasta is never made with canned sauce; I personally do the shopping for the restaurant and NEVER would I give any customer anything that has been pre-fabricated! Regarding the burguer, our guests all they talked about that evening was about the hamburger, as I... More

We spent a week Puerto Morelos with three other couples, and John Gray was the highlight of our week. Owner Dora is a beautiful and welcoming host, and everything about our evening was perfect. Don't miss this! The guacamole and other appetizers were delicious, and fresh seafood prepared in unique ways. A perfect evening ...

We had 8 people dining, all of us experienced excellent cuisine that was expertly prepared and presented. The service was outstanding and Dora the owner was her welcoming and charming self. Her restaurant is upscale for Puerto Morelos which made for a wonderful evening in an intimate space. The shrimp, amberjack, pork, shrimp crab cakes and chicken were all exceptional.... More

We were VERY impressed with the food and the service, for being such a small town. Have, been to many other countries, and John Grays was an excellent meal and an excellent price. We can't wait to go again.

Our friends had hamburgers for lunch and lobster for dinner. Other family members recommended we go for lunch and have the stuffed burger which I did. Excellent. I bit of a wait but well worth it. If you go for a burger get there before noon. Our friends got there later one day and they had run out of burgers.

Had two good dinners here. Lobster tails were small but tender. Atmosphere is nice, waiters friendly.

Visited this restaurant in November, 2016, the barman was very friendly and attentive. However this week we were waited on by a waitress (Valerie) who was actually quite rude. Don't think we will go there again.
