I had read good reviews and decided to try this place and we rang ahead to book for dinner which was a blessing as we would not have been able to get a table inside as it was very very busy. The waiter,an indian guy showed us to the table and gave us the menus. There were some interesting vegetarian options... More

I'm reasonably sure there is a connection with this eatery and the bar across the road. This is more up market and the prices reflect that but only slightly. The food was tasty and plenty of it and service good the views are very nice and make for a relaxing lazy lunch.

Many years ago, we rented La Pozza di Volpaia, which is a wonderful farmhouse just off the main square of the town. At that time, the only place to eat in town was Mama Gina's Cafe. It was perfect for a casual lunch or quick cappuccino, and Mama Gina is still around and is perfectly delightful! I always stop by... More

My boyfriend and I arrived in Volpaia by car from Greve on a very grey, rainy October night. The town itself was very quiet and sleepy, but still beautiful and charming. The town only offers 3 choices for food places, as far as we could see, and we are happy we ended up at La Bottega. The restaurant itself looks very... More

Went to the Bottega after wine tasting at Volpaia. Nice spot with solid food and service. Appeared to be filled with locals and /or regulars for Sunday lunch.

We ate here twice during our trip. Volpaia is a tiny town worth a visit. Views from the restaurant terrace are very nice. The food is good, especially the risotto. Nice wine list and friendly service. It can get very busy so best to arrive early and relax over a wine or two in the Tuscan sun.

We forgot to make a reservation and walked in just in time. Halfway through our meal, there was a line of people waiting. We thoroughly enjoyed our antipasti and mains. Accompanying wine was the Balifico, 2012 edition. If you're in the vicinity, Volpaia is a pittoresque village, well worth visiting.

In Volpaia, the middle of nowhere in Tuscany, you dine at La Bottega or Osteria Volpaia. Bottega: tasty, typical food, excellent service, family type environment, informal. Unfortunate it was raining and could not enjoy the beautiful outside dining garden. Definitely to be recommended.

We picked this little town based on some reviews. You drive up a road and there is literally two places at the end of the road. We chose this place over the other due to the view of the country side compared to the courtyard and castle. The food was good - wild boar tangetelle and the wine list good... More

Wonderful little restaurant with outdoor seating and an amazing view of the Tuscany countryside. Personable waiters who take the time to explain the dishes which are interesting and different - first time I have had peas with roasted sage..... delicious. Vegetables are grown in their own garden adjacent so are very fresh and there are also many excellent local wines.... More
