I definitely liked that you have a very modern and typical Goan style restaurant and most importantly every food ,drink on your menu tasted great !!! Keep it and spice it up SPICE GOA team ...Cheers !!!
on the way to fort aquada we gave a halt for a lunch. we are professional chefs & order for sea food thali & few more items. As we didn't have much expectation. but when the food arrive, we just finished the food in no...time. The quality of food, the quantity, service, taste is just above our expectation. At the counter Mrs Shah was handling all queries & the billing part at ease.Highly recommendable for tourist for typical goan food.More
Went for lunch yesterday. If you don't know the area well you might overshoot the restaurant ... It falls on your right if you're coming in from Panjim and on the left if driving from Candolim.
There is parking available for a few cars. The...seating downstairs is air-conditioned, although dark and a bit dingy during the day. We chose to sit upstairs and it was wonderful ... breezy and open.
Had to use the loo and went to the one upstairs ... it is a 'unisex' loo with ... and full of mosquitoes. Asked our waiter if he could spray some 'Mortein' or something in the Ladies to which he kindly suggested using the loos downstairs... which we did while leaving, post lunch ... separate loos for men and women ... no toilet paper ... wet seat plastic cover ... dustbin full of used mucky toilet rolls ...
Is that important as feedback for a restaurant, you might ask ... Absolutely it is ... Hygiene and cleanliness in the bathrooms says a LOT for the management ... makes you wonder what the kitchens are like ...
Apart from that, the food and service was A-ONE. Our waiter, I wish I had taken his name, was terrific - friendly, attentive and didn't blink when our friend accidently knocked over and broke a glass of Pina Colada. The staff was prompt in cleaning it all up and apparently the drink was very good as our friend ordered another one.
We ordered Sukha Clams as starters with our drinks. They were very good, large in size and tasty - although the masala was a tad too much.. our fault, it might have gone better with a roti.
For our main course, we ordered a full Tandoori Red Snapper, some tandoori rotis and a bowl of veg hakka noodles.
While we waited, we were given a complimentary snack of Chicken Xacuti atop baby idli halves. Rather good.
We were DELIGHTED with the lunch we'd ordered. The fish was cooked and charred perfectly and tasted fantastic. The noodles were A-one, too, as were the rotis.
We would definitely revisit even though it takes an hour and a half travel time from Colva ... it is definitely worth it.
Until next time - Thank you very much for your hospitality and lunch.
Just please do pay a bit more attention to the washrooms as well :-)More
Visited Spice Goa expecting good food ( they have a reputation for it💁♀️) but the experience of dining here was way above our expectations. Delectable food, soothing ambience and delightful live music.... aah.. what more does one want?? The restaurant specializes in authentic Goan cuisine,...especially fish but truly speaking, each and every dish we tasted was absolutely delicious, which included non- Goan cuisine as well. Not mentioning "Shau cho bar" would be criminal. This Goan taverna style bar churns up amazing mixes, sure to leave you wanting more. More over, the friendly attitude and extra effort put in by the owners is an absolute cherry on the cake. Coming back sooooon....More
