On a beautiful sunny day we walked into Sittella's Restaurant and after meeting the necessary hygiene and recording requirements we were quickly taken to our table, provided with menus, water and a wine list. We were lucky as the restaurant was almost at full capacity (for the time) and among the guests were a number of larger parties celebrating special occasions. The staff managed the needs of the larger groups and ourselves with ease, even ensuring that we were happy with the spacing of courses. We chose the set menu which was excellent, both in providing a small range of good choices and at an excellent price. The dishes were all very good; flavoursome chowder, moist tender chicken and tasty bread and butter pudding. Very good Sittella wines provided a good accompaniment to the meal. The staff were all friendly, helpful and ensured that all their guests were dining in a safe and relaxed environment.

An impromptu visit to Sittella's was rewarded by being able to enjoy one of the best meals I have had in a long while. Due to the regulations, only a set menu was available, but at $43 for three courses, accompanied by a tasting of three wines, it was unbelievable value. The food was beautifully cooked with careful and attractive presentation and showed much attention to detail - not what you expect with a set menu. The service was excellent - attentive and helpful at all times. So glad i chose to visit an old favourite.

Our little party of three enjoyed a great lunch experience, on a mild day on the deck that overlooks vineyards. The menu had some interesting options, but we all chose the fixed price menu - this had bread and dip to start, then a choice of 5 or 6 dishes for main course and a choice of 3 desserts. We all agreed that our choices were delicious. Our waitress took care to ask when we would like to be served the next course. This was appreciated as it gave us time for uninterrupted conversation. Soft music was playing and it was appropriate and added something to the ambience. Overall it was excellent value for money, and we will return.

We had a party of 10 and it turned out to be a memorable day at Sittella. The service was first class - warm, caring and with a "can do" attitude in relation to our various requests. The entrees were fabulous. The Winemakers Plate was delicious with great variety and sufficient to serve 4 people. The deserts were yummy. At $60 for the set meal comprising a substantial entree, main and desert, it was value for money. All in, it was a lovely day to soak up at Sittella, just before moving into lockdown that came into effect later that day. One aspect could be improved. The information on the website stated that the set meal was $50 with a blurb that this could change on the weekend but nothing more. At Sittella's, we discovered that the set meal on the weekends was $60 with a substantial entree, main and desert. It would allow better planning for a celebration if we were given this information on the website or told this when we made the booking.

I'd booked a lunch for 4 people at the winery to celebrate a friends 70th birthday and had booked well in advance and advised of the occasion. The table was so small with so much glassware and crockery on it it was difficult to accommodate all the dishes during lunch and our drinks. We'd ordered off the set menu and were told the steak would come out medium\rare, which we said was fine as that is how we liked them. When they arrived, they were medium\well. When we mentioned how they were supposed to be cooked there was very little follow up. Disappointing. When I looked around at the tables for small parties - especially for 2, the tables were round and quite small when you thought what they might need to accommodate over a lunch. The winery seems to focus on large bookings so I would think again before thinking of going again with a smaller party.

I chose Sittella for my birthday lunch because we had never been to a winery before and the menu included a great children’s menu for the 12 year old. We were initially shown to a table out on the veranda, the blinds were down so it wasn’t so exposed to the weather, heaters were on, but it was cold. We opted to move inside, however it was chilly. Service was prompt. Our starters came. Seafood chowder, broccoli soup and pork belly with scallops. The chowder was more like a vegetable soup and did not contain enough seafood to be called a chowder. The broccoli soup was good. Neither of the soups came with bread. The pork belly was not crispy enough and came with one tiny scallop. Things improved when our main courses arrived. A rack of lamb, beef tenderloin and steak with mash for the child. All were cooked perfectly. Desert was banana brûlée and chocolate pudding. We enjoyed those. On reflection the starters did not match the price but the mains and deserts were good. I know winter is a short period in WA but when patrons are paying decent amounts for foods they don’t want to be cold or eating with their coats on. We would come back in the summer.

Visited this winery as part of an organised tour with ‘out and about’. The wine tasting was a bit rushed and I missed one of the whites. However we went from the tasting room to the restaurant next door. Lunch was a platter of cold meats fruit and cheeses. One of the best I’ve had at a winery.

This was our second visit and again we really enjoyed the experience. The set menu was reasonably priced and offered a good choice of main courses. Seated on the outside deck the view over the grapevines was lovely as it stretched out below us. One tiny criticism I would make relates to the condition of the vineyard which came right up to us below the restaurant itself. The rows of grapevines were overgrown with weeds and the rose bushes at the end of each row were not pruned and looked unkempt. The vineyard generally looked unloved and did not set the stage for a high value winery or restaurant. Apart from that, the general vista was very pleasant and the actual restaurant itself was terrific.

The best decision we could have made for our wedding day was picking Sittella for our venue. We had both our ceremony and reception at Sittella and both were like a dream. The ladies that make up the wedding planning team are amazing, with a special shout out to Steph. We were welcomed warmly every time we went to visit and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food and drink was amazing, all of our guest commented on how generous and delicious each course was. The site itself is stunning and we loved the fact we didn't have to add much to this rustic beauty to make our day look amazing. Everyone you meet from Sittella makes you feel like you are in good hands and you can tell they are wedding pros. Thank you so much to all of you for making our day so perfect x

The restaurant here has been one of our favourite “treat”restaurants for a few years now. It has one of the most efficient kitchens I have ever experienced. Even when this large-ish restaurant is full the plating and delivery of the food by always excellent staff is without fault. But on this visit it was quite clear to me that recent inflationary costs are challenging their business model. The starter of Turkish bread with dips would have been frowned upon even by Oliver Twist. I ordered a porterhouse steak which was completely without flavour. My steak came with just a pathetic mouthful of vegetables. I was not impressed and left the restaurant still hungry. It is time for this formerly very fine restaurant in a most delightful setting to put their prices up. Dropping standards to me is not acceptable. If produce prices go up then so be it, just make sure you shop around for best produce pricing. I am like most patrons I want quality and value for money. A very simple combination I am happy to pay for. I do not ever want poor quality. I hope this restaurant chooses to up its prices and food quality to protect its former, for me, well earnt reputation.

In March I booked a 70th birthday party for my husband at Sittella for lunch in early July. At the time, they told me they were having a wedding promotion day on the same day, but that it would not interfere with our celebration. A couple of months later, they called to tell me they were canceling us because they want to make the day exclusive to the wedding day. Obviously, they think there is more money to be had pandering to young brides than to seniors. Rating: ZERO.

We had a wonderful Saturday Lunch at this packed to capacity venue. Why they call themselves a Cafe is a surprise as everything about them is Restaurant standard. Great staff, venue and menu so they have the whole package. As regular diners out we can say this venue currently is the best in the Swan Valley

I took visitors fro overseas for lunch here on Tuesday. What a delight the staff were friendly, efficient and non intrusive. The food was absolutely brilliant! We sat on the balcony overlooking the vineyard and had one of the best meals. The food showcased Western Australian produce and the food was faultless. The staff were so willing to answer our questions about the food, wine and the vineyard. I was so impressed and delighted as were my guests. One of the best places to eat in the Swan Valley.

We booked in for lunch as part of a Swan Valley weekend, glad we booked because the restaurant was full. We were two couples and all had the set menu. There was no vegetarian choice for the starter but they offered pumpkin soup which was nice. All the menu options that we had were delicious and the glass of Sittella Silk (white blend) wine I had with lunch was very nice. We sat on the deck overlooking the vineyards and the weather was perfect so a lovely lunch overall.

I had never been here and I literally live 10 minutes away. This place is a hidden gym. Gorgeous scenery. I ordered the lamb rack which repeatedly badly later on. Nice at that moment however. Many of my friends got the set meal where you get to choose between an entree, then choose between a main etc which was excellent value for money. The outside balcony area is lovely overlooking the grape vines, the gazebo and water. I’d recommend this place. Fairly romantic too.
