Pub was full but manager squeezed us in on last table and very glad he did . The food was amazing - no wonder the pub was full . Well worth a visit but make sure you book !

Excellent food (we visited on 'Pie Night', and the pies were delicious!), friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely, well-kept, old pub. Would definitely recommend and, of course, visit again!
My family have enjoyed a couple of meals here recently, food fresh, tasty and decent portions. Attentive friendly staff, made to feel welcome, cosy atmosphere and reasonably priced....big thumbs up, we shall be back ☺
After visiting this is a convenient pit stop for a reasonably well kept pint. The food is a bit fancy and rather expensive for what it is. However there is easy access to and from the A38.
