This might be an unfair review because we ended up leaving before we sat down. It was cold, smelly, and the carvery looked like it had been out from the previous day. For a Saturday evening and a large dining area it was vacant apart from an elderly couple.

We used to visit this place when it was the swan and salmon, it was our favourite place with a great carvery. We moved away from the area and still used to travel back just for the carvery. And then... on our last visit the food was sickening!!! New owners, just going about their business, couldn't give a damn if... More

We came here for the first time on Saturday evening with friends. When I saw what was on offer for the carvery I couldn't believe it - a choice of three meats, 2 casseroles, sausages, potato cheese & leek and then all the vegetables. Three of us had the beef and the other had gammon. The beef was really tender... More

A nicely decorated place with a reasonable menu, it wasn't that busy on the night we went, but the guy behind the bar was half asleep and the young lady was running around doing most of the work, so even getting a drink was slow. The meal was OK but it took so long to arrive that we were really... More

I've had some very nice roasts here. Its not particularly cheap but the food is very nice and as it is served buffet style, there is plenty. If the weather is nice it is lovely to sit out back on the decking. There is also a large garden for the children to play in.

We were left extremely disappointed today after visiting for lunch. My husband ordered a mixed grill, but the chef came to tell us her order had not arrived, so my husband ordered a steak instead, we noticed the chef smelt very strongly of cigarettes, not nice! I ordered a bacon and brie ciabbta with chips. My meal arrived with undercooked... More
