A welcome addition to the choice of restaurants in uddingston. Service was very good and the food was fantastic. No scrimping on the size of portions either,very wide and varied choice for vegetarians ,we will certainly be returning. Two small niggles, a little more time between finishing starters and mains being brought out would be good, and no need for a belly dancer, doesn't add anything.

Absolutely fabulous. The restaurant is lovely, great menu, excellent service and the food was outstanding. The waiters were great, really professional, giving us time to look at the menu, and delivered everyone’s meal with a smile.

Authentic Turkish experience

Authentic in every sense of the word. From the decor to the ambience and food Türkiye Uddingston have captured Turkey and packaged it into this beautiful restaurant perfectly. During our visit we had the hot meze platter, ballon bread followed by the mixed grill platter and traditional baklava to finish. The quality and taste was as good if not better than what we have had in Turkey on holidays there. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. This is likely to be our new haunt. Must try venue for anything looking for that something different.

Lovely food let down a bit by service and belly dancer at table ....

Nice place and the food is amazing . However waited forever for drinks at an outside table. Then once relocated inside for our meal we were served straight away but again had to wait forever for drinks and had to chase waiters when we wanted any more every time. Belly dancer was pretty cringy , out for a meal with family doesn't need a belly dancer coming over trying to show you how to do moves. If review was on food only I would give a 5 but the whole experience between the awkwardness of the belly dancer and time to get waiters to notice you are waiting on something means I scored down. I will try again though due to quality of food and hope the service gets better and belly dancer stays a safe distance away from people eating

Visited for a birthday celebration. Previously visited the Efes in Merchant City and hoped that this branch would meet the same standards. Seated menus given, drinks order taken. Drinks arrived promptly and food order given, complementary Turkish bread and dips brought to the table which were nice. However, as soon as we finished our bread it was taken away and within two minutes our main course was delivered to our table. I had ordered a veggie Pide (Turkish style pizza) there wasn’t much evidence of vegetables, however it was very cheesy and therefore not worth the money, in my opinion. My other half had a meat and aubergine dish with rice and salad which she quite enjoyed. We were slightly disappointed overall , the food served was nice but no wow factor. The service was great, however, we felt that we were in a race as the courses came thick and fast. A ten minute lull would have been nice and more relaxing experience. Would I return mmmm, would probably return to the city centre restaurant over Uddingston??

Great dinner.

Came here for dinner in Thur night and it was so delicious. Ordered a bottle of Malbec and that’s a perfect start! I ordered the mix lamb platter whilst hubby ordered the lamb kulbusti. Both came with rice and salad. Lamb wqs tasty and so tender. They also gave us complimentary bread and it was great to mop up the lamb juice. Perfect dinner and can’t wait to return

Great food, Awful service

Waited 20 minutes for pre-booked table, no apology and certainly no offer of a drink, just left standing at the door. When finally seated the waiter asked. To take our food order after 15mins, had to point out we hadn’t even been able order drinks yet, he decided to do both together.. The waiter was clearly pre-occupied taking our order, so much so he never put it in, he was to busy directing other staff around him. After an hour we had to ask what was happening, the same waiter that took our order then asks if we are ready to order,!!. Not a single apology was offered, not a complementary drink offered and zero deducted from the bill. The food was great, as it’s always been on my previous visits. I never left a tip, probably my first time ever, due to their complete indifference to the situation they created The service was really poor, they never cared about their mistakes, making no gesture whatsoever. If I return, it will be a while. Mistakes happen, how you react to them is what makes the difference.

Outstanding food and service

Having tried the Glasgow restaurant (and it being our fav hands down ) we were so excited about coming to the new one , well it did not dissapoint . Was myself and 3 kids as hubby was working and I have to say I felt absolutely overwhelmed with the service towards me and them . We went for pretty much the same food we go for in the Glasgow one as it’s our favourite and could do a comparison . Balloon bread , meze starter sigara borek and garlic mushrooms , tasted amazing cooked perfectly 🤩 The platter was exceptional as always and the kids absolutely love it, again the taste and presentation were phenomenal. Great atmosphere (the outdoor area is a massive hit ) the decor is beautiful can really see the work that’s been put in . Thank you again and we will def be back (for breakfast soon 😉)

A real taste of Türkiye!!

This restaurant is amazing! From stunning decor and an amazing outside seating area, to the friendliest, politest staff around, not forgetting the unreal tasting food that is outstanding. Would highly recommend this place to all, a fun filled night out for anyone with the best food to try.

Great new place

Absolutely fantastic lunch today. Incredible food, really tasty, good size portions, absolutely delicious. Recommend the chicken shish & veggie moussaka so fresh, tasty & very reasonable. Shout out to our waitress who was lovely as were all the staff.

Excellent choice for a lovely lunch. Great choice of starters and mains. The complimentary bread was a nice touch. My favourite main was the lamb skewer, served with rice and a huge salad and sauces. Well worth a visit and Gosha in particular was very attentive and friendly. Well done!

Fabulous restaurant

What a terrific find, the food is excellent, freshly prepared and so tasty. We were in on Father’s Day and the staff are lovey, restaurant immaculate with really comfy chairs and booths with feather cushions, fab for my sore back. We had the large platter and chicken shish , various starters , it was all amazing, cooked to perfection, the desserts were amazing so fresh and tasty. Excellent value for money. We have now found our new favourite restaurant

Good food and service.

Visited Uddingston restaurant after trying Merchant City a few weeks ago. The service and atmosphere was great. The menu is a meat feast. Our King prawns from the grill were excellent. The lamb casserole was less exciting, tomatoe sauce with chopped peppers and onion. Both served with a great side salad. The portions are great. Would definitely recommend trying. Not so sure it needs a belly dancer though 😳

Disappointed by rude manager

I was looking forward to visiting this place and was left very disappointed. I will start with the positive the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The decor is stunning. Everyone’s food came out and whilst I was eating my kabab I found a hair in it. It was returned to the kitchen and a new batch sent out. However this delayed our meal as everyone else at my table had eaten and I was still waiting on my food. When the bill came I was surprised nothing complimentary was offered or anything off the bill. So I asked for something to be taken off the bill. Shamas the manager spoke to me he was being very rude and loud. Other tables around us were looking. He then would not speak to me (female) and would address the male at the table. When it was me that was speaking to him. I also overheard him shouting at the female staff in front of all the customers. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I will not be visiting this place again due to the rude manager- Shamas.

We visited for late afternoon lunch. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was amazing!!! However, there was no break between the starters and mains so felt very rushed. I know there is a time limit on the table but a small pause between courses would have been welcomed. Otherwise everything was fabulous!!
