Cay-Mex Grill featuring local and Mexican favourites. Conch fritters, ceviche, tacos, nachos and even homemade ice cream to name a few. All sauces are homemade from our garden. Our home base is North Side but we cater special events so please call or follow us on Facebook for real time updates.

Adults and kids delighted with the food

We are on Grand Cayman for the first time and finding our way around the island enjoying some touristy things and the natural beauty including snorkling and the beaches. Part of the adventure is finding good places to eat to satisfy adults and kids. The grandparents, parents and grand kids all enjoyed the food at Island Bites. This major food truck was a major find. The large menu and the tex-cayman food approah is perfect. We enjoyed the tacos (each meat option) and the rice bowls (we tried pork and jerk chicken). Great meal for everyone. The portions are large so good value for your money. Grand Cayman is not a cheap place for eating out so we were very happy to find these guys. And, the owners hit an absolute homerun with the coconut ice cream. The smoothie options were all delicious as well. Go to Island Bites because it will make you happy.

Lunch here hit the spot!

Our stingray/starfish excursion ended around 11:00 and Island Bites was convenient to stop at on our way back to Morritt's resort. It's also directly across the road from Cayman Crystal Caves for those who plan on going there. The food portions were generous and fairly priced. The smoothies were great as well. I recommend you visit Island Bites!

We had just left the Crystal Caves across the road and had been told about this hidden gem/ Food truck. Starving, we went over and ordered. I was craving a burger and was NOT disappointed, They've a bbq right out back and my burger was cooked to perfection and HUGE. My husband had the Citrus Chicken Tacos and couldn't even finish two- but he thoroughly enjoyed them. Picnic tables and fun island music played. The gals cooking and serving were delightful. I'm told that their rum raisin ice cream is delish, but we were too full to even attempt.

I really tried liking this unique food truck experience, but I can honestly say it was only average in terms of food quality and taste. The fish tacos were ok, but nothing to write home about, the hamburger not cooked all the way through and the fries a little overdone and unseasoned. Bugs were bad in the picnic table/small eating area next to the food truck which meant lots of swatting mosquitos while trying to eat, and, although I love all the roosters and chickens running all over the island, having a herd of them right underneath the table while eating was a bit disconcerting. The people who run the place are very friendly though and service is quick and relatively inexpensive by island standards.

Hi Mary. It is an outdoor or pick up venue and the bugs are hard to control during the seasons that they thrive and does not occur all year round. We hope you stop by or pick up one of our signature dishes and try us again.

This food truck serves some of the best food on the island and their homemade ice cream may have been the best I have ever had anywhere. Both owners came by our table and talked with us like we were close friends. They embraced my service dog and showed us pictures of their dogs. It's laid back, casual. Tables are set up on the lawn under trees. It is a place we will definitely go back to every chance we get.

Best Conk Fritters on the Island!

All fresh to order food prepared by locals who use original and family recipes. The owner, Huey, grows some of his own spices and vegetables for his recipes. Excellent conk fritters, tacos and local caught fish. Don't miss this excellent local outdoor restaurant and the homemade coconut ice cream, all at a reasonable price.

True fusion of Mex-Caribbean !

I had the Jerk chicken with island slaw-wonderful!! Had 6 sides to choose from so difficult choice. Husband had fish tacos-he didn’t like that the cheese wasn’t melted but the fish was fresh and tasty. Menu is very extensive and food comes out fast. Negative is sitting outside in the heat when sun is beating down strong.

Wonderful food and service!

Chef Huey and Tracy were unbelievable. Our vacation of family and friends (23 people ) were fortunate enough to find Island Bites. Our rentals at Rum Point Northside were a little far from the tourist areas of Seven Mile Beach so we wanted a food service that would come to us. And did they ever! Chef Huey and Tracy came to our house with the most wonderful food. My wife worked with Huey to create the menus for each meal. The best conch fritters ever! Wonderful fish dishes. Ceviche, jerk chicken, burgers, tacos, rum cake ( wow), key lime pie and so much more. Unfortunately we were so excited about eating we completely forgot to take pictures of the food. The portions were enough for dinner and lunch the next day. We enjoyed their feasts three nights and wished we had planned for more. Thank you Huey and Tracy. Please keep them in mind if you want to feel pampered and want delicious food. Five Stars all the way.

Food Truck with Great Tacos

This food truck is opposite the Cave Tours. We stopped just to get s smoothie (which was great) and grabbed their menu. We went back to get food for supper. Ordered a couple of taco options, the Jerk Chicken, the Pulled Pork (which truned out to be a Cubano) and some salsas. All were tasty! Definitely on our list of places to revisit. The only complaint was the mosquitos while we waited outside for our supper. Try the mango smoothie.

Thanks for your review. We are happy to hear that you will be back. The jerk chicken and carnitas are 2 of my personal favorites. The mosquitos come out at dusk sometimes after a rain so if you can visit before 6pm.

Wow! High accolades for Chef Huey and Tracy!

We hired Chef Huey to bring food for 10 adults to our home for a Super Bowl party during our week stay here. Everything was great from the start with prompt responses, and working with me to create a perfect menu that everyone raved about! He and Tracy thought of and brought everything to our house which made me look like a superstar! We had conch fritters, 2 flavors of chicken wings, a full taco bar with baja fish and carne asada, guacamole & queso with chips and the pulled pork sandwiches. We were thrilled that we even had leftovers for the next day. The flavor and quality of everything was a home run. It's not easy to make all 10 adults happy at the same time but Chef and Tracy knocked it out of the park! We highly recommend this dynamic duo for any of your dining needs!

Worth the return

Went in 2019 and now back in 2020. Still a great casual place to get a great affordable meal. Had pork, chicken and fish tacos with plaintain fries, delicious! Also, save room for the coconut icecream, so good I had to take a container back to the condo with me. YUM!

Great food, great value, friendly staff

I stopped by here two weeks ago when I was on island, on my way from North Side to dive shop. The food was amazing, HUGE portions for a really reasonable price. And Shernett, Sarah and Yoellis (the staff--apologies for poor spelling!) were great! HIGHLY recommend a stop here. :)

These guys were four days out from reopening from COVID, and I’m so glad that we had the opportunity to experience the culinary mastery of Huey. Try the conch fritters. You’ll thank me later. The swanky’s are also fantastic.

Great fish and chips!

Three of us all had haddock and chips, large portions, beautiful white haddock, crispy batter and great chip. A choice of sauces, ketchup, mayonnaise, tartare and even curry sauce for a heathen northerner like me.
