Cabrito and like most places in Portugal because it is loved by the locals the price is high for what is received. The day-trippers from Spain tend to help inflate the prices in the border towns but the ambience is relaxed here and the house wine was good quality.Cabrito was served with potatoes and a special sauce for the meat with... We ate lunch at this restaurant, which is very nice table service type of place. Got "tourist menu", which included appetizers, huge portions of very tasty veal and cod with trimmings, great house wines, dessert, water and coffee. 19€pp is a little expensive in Portuguese standard, but we were very satisfied with the quality of the food and the service,... Great restaurant, serving typical portuguese food. The roasted lamb was delicious. Very friendly staff. Service was a bit slow at times, but overall would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Sabugal.

As perplexing as this restaurant was personally recommended by our B&B, as how can any restaurant be so uncaring? Upon entering a completely empty dining room, we apparently interrupted the seated cook and staff watching evening Portuguese soap-operas. Instead of a warm greeting, we were barely acknowledged. That should have been a warning sign - but we had been on... More

Fantastic ribs and roast lamb. Refreshing change to salt cod fish. Local house white really good. Friendly, helpful. A big restaurant so don't expect a crowded experience.

We drove around 30 miles because this restaurant is recommended in the guide boa mesa, boa cama. The cabrito (kid meat) was cold, but burned in some spots (?), home made chips were greasy and the soup was watery. The bottled water was from a cheap grocery brand. It does not worth the trip neither the money you pay.

With an portuguese typical architecture, it's a nice place to stay with family and friends. You can find typical portuguese food from the mountains as "Cabrito Assado" - roast kid meat - and trouts. You can also choose regular food as cod fish, roast chicken or steaks. Some meals are only avaiable after reservation.
