Hugh portions of excellent food, not cheap eats but well worth the money. The appearance of this Pub is stunning with the best display of hanging baskets in Essex. More a restaurant that sells alcohol than a traditional style pub. After the very large main...More

Very good menu selection to choose from, all reasonably priced, from a simple sandwich to a 3 course meal, and plenty for a vegetarian also, although I didn't see steak.. Clean & tidy, traditional pub appeal with good ales on draught. Great service too.

Just returned from a lovely lunch with my Mrs and 2 daughter's. Really nice food and a great selection on the menu. Chicken Caesar was nice but too many croutons and a bit oily. Fairly priced and the garden was lovely. Will be back

Very impressed with this lovely old pub. We turned up without a booking on a bank holiday and were greeted by a friendly barman who immediately found us a table. It was a lovely day so many chose outside seating, luckily for us. The food...More

A lovely old building just on the edge of Danbury. Great beamed interior and a lovely place to hang out for drinks or food. We had a most enjoyable lunch with drinks, - they seem to specialize in fish dishes and the ones we had...More

Thought we'd try this pub for lunch after passing it on our trip out. The man at the bar showed us to a table in the conservatory. It was nice to have the view over looking the fields. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful and...More

I've seen people with a dog in there before. However they are usually sat in the side room which is just to the left hand side of the main bar as you come in. It's quite a nice Cosey little room actually. That's where they... More
