Called in for a good evening and was not disappointed. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere. Idle Elvis was playing and the pub was packed. We have always liked this pub, friendly landlord and lady. If you are passing call in.

A small group of us visited here after a walk round Ogden. The pub and staff are very warm and welcoming and the venue is dog friendly which is an added bonus for us. Our meals ranged from sandwiches, burgers and gammon to steak. All the meals came quickly and were well presented, piping hot and extremely tasty. The food... More

We visited the Causeway Foot Inn with friends last week are were really impressed. We had not been to the Causeway for some 30 year. We had booked a table in the restaurant area, but we could also have eaten in the bar. We went straight to our table and although we were the only people eating in the restaurant... More

Warm welcome from friendly staff after a long walk. Half the pub is dog-friendly, with the other half reserved for people without dogs, which works well. Good pub food, great desserts. Toilets could do with a bit of an upgrade, but overall a lovely country pub. Would definitely go again.

Our first visit to this pleasant pub, just down the road. The menu, if not extensive, is sufficiently varied to be able to please most tastes. The "pub classics" are there, supplemented by one or two Italian and oriental dishes. These are well presented and more than competently prepared. Pizzas are available. The service is fine- the pace of our... More

First things first, the Guinness is shocking, old and lifeless sat in the glass with yellow head and no flavour. When I complained the barmaid said 'it looks just the same as normal, which sounds worrying. Food wise, I ordered the fish pie which was okay at best, although it was very saucy and very cheesy. If you order fish... More

Been here for a nice cask ale in past but first time for evening meal. Persuaded my wife it would be OK, as 6 years ago not much choice for us. We weren't disappointed we chose the 2 courses for £13.95 option today.. Sunday. Starters the bean soup was in fact a spiced veg broth covered in a Yorks pud... More
