This cafe is a very friendly place to have a coffee or light meal. What sets it apart from others is its first class cooking and its use of top-class ingredients.

Top quality food always at the grangecon. Also takeaway scones and cakes are a family favourite (especially the carrot cake!)

I had a salad (pear, date, blue cheese). It was wonderfully tasty, but expensive for what it was. My friends had the mushroom/chicken pie and the soup/sandwich combo respectively. We all enjoyed the food and the desserts and coffee that followed. Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but it's a great place to go for a treat!

I love calling in here to treat myself to a take away sandwich & flapjack. Its twice the price of any other take away sandwich but so worth it...

Richard & Jenny have created a wonderful village café experience at the Grangecon. The food is wholesome, authentic and of the best quality. Each dish is honestly prepared, with attention paid to the most minutiae of detail.

Food is all homemade, always lovely, great variety offered including cakes and bread to take home, it is the only place in Blessington I will eat as the quality is unbeatable, service is always friendly and welcoming also.

We came across this delightful place on our way to cycling the Blessington Greenway. It came highly recommended in my o;d copy of the Rough Guide to Ireland, and it didn't disappoint. Charming setting in the old schoolhouse, super friendly staff, very accommodating, offering half portions for children, etc. But most of all, the food was delicious!

Now if you're on a budget then hop down the road to super valu for a coffee and scone but if you fancy a treat and we all do from time to time then here's your man. It's like going into marks and spencer and knowing you're going to pay silly money for something you could make yourself but you... More
