My family of five stayed in Lisdoonvarna for a couple nights and we simply couldn't get enough of this joint. It is charming, they have great traditional music, the beer is fantastic (they have their own microbrewery), the kitchen is highly skilled, they use great...More

Had a classic, the fish & chips with a few pints. Great service, food, and friendly staff. This was an excellent experience in an otherwise sleepy town. It was mostly filled with locals when I was there, which is always a good sign.

I had Salmon Tagliatelle and it was excellent. I looked around at other customers and they looked as equally impressed with there menu choices.

Was here in a group. Food was nice but the service charge at the end was a joke. Its a great country when the waiter decides they are not getting paid enough so they add on there own charge at the end. If only everyone...More

Best food and service during our entire trip in Ireland! We had the special: beef cheek and creamy lentils and it was spectacular not to mention the amazing dessert! Hands down best stop we made!

Incredible food. The nuceeg food we have had in a long time. Salmon tagliatelle was stunning, bacon and cabbage was beautiful. Amazing. Can’t recommend enough.

Had dinner here on Sunday and it was perfect from start to finish. Greeted by Sean who seated us and took our drinks order. Food was amazing. Service was just great, it's the reason we keep going back. Thank you and we will be back

Lovely pit stop in a very empty village. We both had the best fish and chips simple but really really fresh. A few pints of Guinness which were the best we have tasted. Stop here if you are passing through you won't be disappointed

Sorry I cannot answer the question. I dined only in the establishment, and did not know that it was residential.

Description
PUB OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND 10AM TILL LATE FOOD SERVED FROM MARCH UNTIL NOVEMBER 12-4 6-9 EVERYDAY Last orders 8.45 In spring 2011, Peter Curtin embarked on a new endeavour: He set up the Burren Brewery in the Roadside Tavern in Lisdoonvarna. The building, which in 1865 started off as a pub, then was expanded into a bakery, now also harbours a micro-brewery under its roof. At the same time it is an eatery and a renowned music venue for traditional and contemporary music. Peter realised very quickly how complicated and time-consuming it was to brew his own beer - it really is a labour of love. He enrolled the help of a Master Brewer, and the result can now be tasted in the Roadside Tavern: The Burren Gold is a delicious, characterful lager. The mainstream lagers available every-where just cannot compete with this one!The Burren Red with its great red colour is a spicy, slightly sweet ale which even features a hint of smoke. It seems to become the favourite among the punters at the Roadside! The Burren Black is a stout that does not have to fear the competition of a certain other black stuff. It is smooth and full-bodied, with a creamy crown of froth on top - and definitely alive inside! A heavenly drink.
