Situated on the pier in Howth with majestic views King Sitric really impressed us. Joan and Aidan made us so welcome. Staying overnight we had a wonderful dinner ( their Black Sole was gorgeous) and top class breakfast. We will be back.

My family of four ate dinner At King Sitric two weeks ago. It was fantastic! Our kids are 10 & 12, the manager made sure they got to see the live lobster. They made great meal recommendations for all of us. All the food was fabulous, my favorite was the scallop starter, yum!!! The view was awesome too. I'd definitely... More

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and had dinner there one night. I was warmly welcomed, as is normal in Ireland, and had a lovely meal of beautifully prepared and presented crumbed haddock and lovely fresh chips washed down by a pint of (naturally) Guinness. The speciality is lobster, which I don't much like, but there is a... More

I went there with friends from abroad as they wanted to have some nice fish. I had not been there before but I heard the food was very good. We ordered a bottle of shampane when the waiter brought it down he put a plastic Bucket on the table which was not chilled nor did it have ice in it,... More

Visited for a birthday dinner and had some of their signature dishes, prawns tempura starter, followed by Lobster and Sole quite an expensive meal but not really up to par. Prawn batter was not cooked sufficiently and Sole was not the freshest. Lobster was reasonable and well presented. Vegetables were mediocre at best, while service was efficient if not the... More

The planning with Joan was made easy, fun and gave us great confidence. We KNEW the grub and grog would be top notch, and we were not disappointed and neither were our guests. The kitchen and dining staff, with Brian leading from the front, were attentive, bulletproof and charming throughout showing considerable grace and stamina as the party just keep... More

We stayed for 5 days in the guest house and ate frequently in the café and in the restaurant. This is truly one of the best places we've every stayed or eaten. The fresh catch of the day was ALWAYS AMAZING. If I could give 6 stars I would.

A must for anyone who loves fish ! Amazing selection of fish for starters and mains cooked to perfection. It can also be very good value if you manage to keep to the set menu! We didn't and it ended up being a little expensive with wine etc. Lovely elegant dining room with wonderful sea views (if you manage to... More

Description
Established in 1971, Aidan and Joan MacManus have earned an international reputation for fresh seafood in their harbour-side restaurant in the picturesque fishing village of Howth. In 1999, they extensively rebuilt their old Harbour Master's house, relocating the restaurant to the first floor with panoramic seaviews, and adding eight guest bedrooms. All the bedrooms are named after Lighthouses and have sea-views. Fresh fish landed daily on Howth Pier, oysters and mussels from the west, lobster caught by our own fishermen in Balscadden Bay are among our specialities. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in our East Cafe Bar while choosing your wine from our outstanding Wine List. National Hospitality Awards Seafood Restaurant of the year 2014. We are situated in the golfing heartland of North County Dublin and for sailors Howth Marina is three minutes walk. Enjoy a gentle stroll on the Pier before breakfast or a more energetic hike on the unspoilt Cliff Path and the trails of Howth Head. For business, shopping or sightseeing, Dublin City is only 25 minutes by Dart. Dublin Airport 25 minutes.
