Visited with my family of eight including two small children. We were made very welcome. The children shared a pizza which they couldn't manage. I tried it and it was delicious. The rest of the group made short work of it. We had a short wait as the food was freshly prepared. It was worth it. The seafood linguine was... More

I live close enough to this restaurant to eat there quite often - I can honestly say I have only had one disappointing meal since the restaurant first opened - the food - presentation - service and atmosphere (especially in the evenings and weekends) is great. I love fish and their scallops are very tasty - as are all their... More

We were actually looking for a seafood restaurant which turned out to be closed that night, but we decided to try the Brick Oven, since they had some seafood on the menu. The seafood chowder and mussels were both excellent. The place was full of families with children having their pizza treat, so apparently the pizza is good as well.

Last Friday I spent a few hours walking around Bantry. I had a lunch of fish and chips in the Brick Oven. The fish and chips were served with a nice crunchy salad. The chips were cooked with the skin on and were obviously prepared in the restaurant and not brought in. The fish had good crunchy batter. The cost... More

A great place. We were a big family group - all ages. The food was good and the atmosphere was electric. The prices were reasonable and service was friendly. It's always busy which is a testimony to the overall dining experience. I'd advice to book in advance especially during the summer. Thanks to all the staff for good food and... More

Recommended by our hotel, we brought the kids there this evening (aged 10,12,14). Mid week, around 8pm, busy - but we got a table right away. Very friendly staff. There's a kids menu, all day menu, and evening specials. Food great - we had mussels and scallops as starters - kids had chicken wings. All really good. Had 2 large... More

The food was good particularly the mediterrean salad and sea food combo- scallops, shrimp, mussels, cherry tomatoes. The majority were families having pizza, which I can not speak of. My problem was I had to wait too long for my dinner. The waiter could have brought the salad while I was waiting. Next time I'll try the pizza.

Busy restaurant serving a wide variety of pub style meals but which betrays its roots as a takeaway pizza joint: it still feels like a takeaway that also does meals. Very busy, predominately younger clientele. That said my wife had a nice pizza and I had a spiced chicken sandwich on ciabatta - both absolutely fine. Service okay. Hard to... More
