We happened upon this cafe on a recent trip to the area. The people were immediately welcoming- not always the case when you have a hungry three year old in tow! The food was delicious -salad special of the day, freshly made with bacon, caramelized red onions, chicken and bacon. Even better was the fact they were happy to serve... More

Great views, amazing people and service. A really nice chilled out place to grab a bite or a coffee. It has great vegetarian options - I loved the Falafel! The views and vibe here really is incredible no matter the weather!!

We were to stay the night in Clifden, and made a turn to a small road in the town which looked as it would lead to nowhere but it ended at the lifeboat station and this nice restaurant. For such as small place the menu is very varied and it has a good selection of good beer. The staff were very... More

Is this a cafe? a yacht club? a destination at the end of a waterside walk. It is all of these. The cafe is upstairs and the changing rooms for sailors and swimmers downstairs. It really looks its best when the tide is full in.

The view from the sofas are precious, the soups delicious and the home bread its amazing. My girlfriend and I where there a week ago and the waitress treated us like if we were family.... More

We came by boat and walked into town (about 2 miles) then decided to have dinner in the Boardwalk Cafe at the Clifden Boat Club. They have a fabulous view and an eclectic comfortable space. It's lucky we were there early because they were soon solidly booked. Simon poured us a couple of regional IPAs and we both ordered burgers.... More
