A group of us stopped by Pat Collin's bar in Adare recently to grab a quick bite. It's a fantastically traditional pub and we were greeted with a warm welcome. It was very quiet as it was early evening but a roaring fire and a few locals at the bar gave the place a laid back atmosphere. We didn't have... More

I visited Pat Collins Bar/Restaurant mid-week, for a few drinks & dinner. It was very busy, mainly with locals. The atmosphere was good, service brisk & friendly. I ordered a 12oz sirloin steak, which was cooked perfectly, and of very good quality. If your looking for a good quality pub/restaurant, look no further.

Lovely pub atmosphere and delicious food. I had the goat cheese crostini with carmelized onions and the sea bass special. The fish was perfectly cooked, served on a sweet corn puree with sautéed sea grass. Quite possibly the best preparation I've ever eaten. Not the best table service, but the folks behind the bar were quite nice.

In a town which is very tourist-orientated it was refreshing to find a fair crowd of locals in Pat Collins Bar. We were made to feel very welcome and we're even treated to some fantastic impromptu singing towards the end of the evening. Michael, the landlord (son of Pat) was busy making sure everyone was being looked after. The Guinness... More

Very popular it seems thevplacevwzs full of patrons when we entered. Got a table next to a childs highchair which had not been cleaned from the last occupant. I had the chicken burger and chips, chips were precut not freshly cut in the premises. Salad was minimal as was the chicken. A small glass of coke was €2:40 which a... More

Friendly service, and the seafood chowder my wife and I had to start was tasty. But my beef 'stroganoff' was nothing of the sort, rather a kind of stew the gloopy gravy of which must have come from a pre-mix packet with a hefty boost of salt. I have a healthy appetite, but this defeated my quickly. The pub has... More

Spent the evening in Pat Collins pub on Friday 16th December as we were stopping over in Adare for one evening as part of a weekend visit to Ireland. Great atmosphere in this pub and the people were very friendly and the place was buzzing. The owner & the bar staff were very friendly and provided us with an assortment... More

The owner, Michael, and his fantastic crew provide freshly made, delicious meals with a side order of hospitality and craic. After our initial lunch, we returned every evening of our trip. The establishment is clean, the people are welcoming and warm, the helpings are massive, and the food is fabulous! I tried almost everything on the menu, and can highly... More

Our party of 10 returned here a couple times. We had so much fun. Some in the group attempted the Irish dancing with the local music makers. The burgers were very good. They invited a few in the group to come behind the bar so they could teach us the proper way to pour a Guinness. You can imagine the... More

Called here with my wife in September - sorry I am getting round to writing this now! We did not have a reservation and the restaurant was "bouncing" but staff very quickly got us a table and got us settled. My first pint didn't arrive and I did have to ask twice for it but that apart there were no... More
