We chose to stay in The White House because we only had one night in Kinsale and its location in the town centre was ideal. In the evening, we had a superb dinner of sea trout and mussels with drinks in the bar. We also had breakfast the next day. I can't fault the White House for anything..... Food, room... More

Busy pub grub place with what seems like a large loyal local customer base - always a good sign. Had a very nice lunch - chowder and a sandwich. Not Michelin star stuff but, decent value and a good plate of food. Solid option.

We dropped in have a light dinner and the food was fabulous. Service was great, the atmosphere was really good and overall a great place to spend an evening while visiting Kinsale.

My friend and I were walking by. They were just opening and the bartender was putting out his sandwich board, so we started talking to him. He boasted that the chowder was the second best in all of Ireland. We came back later and had some. I haven't tried all the chowder in Ireland, but this was certainly very good,... More
