Wow what a great spot. Wonderful wines and amazing staff. I wouldn't go here for a main meal as you would probably come out hungry. We had a meat platter and it was extremely tasty. Definitely pop in when in kinsale, it's an experience!!

Having moved to Kinsale a couple of months ago, this quickly made its way to our "to test" list of local restaurants... Wasn't disappointed! We wanted to have a light bite that evening and the daily specials looked really nice. My wife had a lovely duck salad and I had a cured meats+cheese board (spanish antipasti style) that was frankly... More

We dropped in as soon as we arrived in Kinsale as it opened and got a table by the fire. The place filled up quickly but we didn't feel rushed. Wine recommendation was superb and every dish... prawns, crab claws, risotto and cheese board. The perfect start to our holiday

A great wine bar with tasty bites. The mushrooms on toast were outstanding. Great wine list and lovely staff...would definitely return. The reasons for 4 stars rather than 5...understaffed on a very busy night, one more person on front-of-house would have made all the difference; and the acoustics are really poor....had to shout across the table all night to be... By far the best for atmosphere, ambience and crowd it hosts. Do not expect proper cooked dishes but certainly well presented and prepared brassiere style plates and most of all an ambience and overall experience to remember

I just love Tapas.....those small portions of usually intense tasting delights...contrasts in texture and the strong taste delights. The Black Pig does this approach with great style and quality! You'll always get a lively crowd, with the friendliest of smiles and vibrance. I'm a huge antipasta fan and love iberian ham and olives, so I'm in heaven when ordering the... More

Whenever we're in Kinsale, we like to have at least one trip to the Black Pig. It's best to book in advance, because it's popular (and quite small) but even if you don't book, they'll always try to squeeze you in if they can. They know their wines, and you can get excellent wines by the glass (you don't have... More

We stopped in without a reservation so we grabbed seats at their bar. Very small, but great atmosphere and cozy. Extensive wine collection and the cheese plate we had was delicious.

Nice people - friendly and efficient. Interesting, imaginative food served tapas-style. Good wine list and knowledgeable staff all made for a great evening. Very popular so you'll probably need to book.
