My wife and I stopped while in search of a quiet dinner. Tom Moriarty, the proprietor, greeted us warmly. His recommendations of the daily specials (Cod and Brill) were excellent. The atmosphere was charming, the service efficient, and Tom was charming. Our only regret was that our dinners left us with no room for a lovely dessert.

Recommended to us as a good seafood restaurant, and were not disappointed. This is not fine dining, but what they do, they do well. Table service was prompt and efficient. Not a lot of interaction, but they were busy. Local brown bread on the table, and it was good. Local beer was excellent. We ordered the chowder and the mussels... More

I tried lamb for the first time here. Now maybe I don't have anything to compare it to but I didn't care for it very much. The chowder was also just ok. I've had better at home. The brown bread and butter was delicious. Friendly staff.

A group of us had dinner here and the food was delicious. The place is actually huge despite the rather unassuming exterior. The wine was good although expensive. The service was excellent and very tolerant of a couple of our party who were a little the worse for wear. All in all, a good spot to eat although a little... More

We stopped in for dinner, attracted by the menu offerings posted outside. We felt very welcomed and not rushed at all. After observing the photos on the wall, we realized that we were being waited upon by the proprietor, Mr Moriarty! My husband had a terrific steak dinner and I had the crab claw entrée. Being from Maryland, I'm not... More

We went to Lord Baker's after a day of hiking and all of us were beat. The food is very traditional. I noticed that there were a lot of local people eating there which says a lot. The soup and brown bread was the best part of the meal, but it was all good. The wait staff and owner were... More
