This was our first time dining at Land To Sea and it's easy to see why it gets such great reviews. We had made reservations for our group of eight adults and we were welcomed immediately. Took advantage of their Early Bird Menu and the selection and presentation were superb! The food was amazing as was the staff. Highly recommend!

I had really enjoyed dining at Land to Sea Restaurant many times last year. Needless to say I was really looking forward to another delicious meal again. Well the food created and served here again certainly was as tasty as ever, and the presentation and detail of each dish was exceptional.
There was 3 of us and we all had a different dish from starters mains and deserts.
As foodies we like to compare dishes and meals and share with each other to get a really great eating experience with flavours. The chefs wonderful creations were as high a standard in every possible way if not better than my numerous meals at this restaurant previously. With the very nice ambiance and really friendly service , and prices very reasonable for the Quality of fresh food created and served this is a Restaurant you should not miss. I'm already planning my next visit.

Had dinner here, group of three, we had booked well in advanced but ended up sitting with other people right behind us, we moved the table further away, my husbands menu had the paper towels used to clean menus in it, when we told waitress she took it away. The food was delicious but there was very little of it and was expensive for what we got. The waitress was quite scattered and forgot to order one of the starters, which delayed us starting our meal, it wasn’t busy nd there were two staff there so no excuse for shoddy service.

My parents and I ate here recently. Man and I had the 6 course tasting menu and Dad had 3 courses. Most of the dishes were delicious but the servings were quite small. I know it’s a tasting menu but I’ve eaten at Michelin star restaurants and tasting menus before so I was a bit taken aback by how small some of the dishes were, for example the scallops. We were sat at a table for 6, we had to ask for our bread, my Dad’s steak wasn’t cooked medium rare, more medium well done. The lobster ravioli was delicious, especially the bisque and the honey and whiskey mousse was so delicate, very tasty. The chocolate fondant could have done with a minute or two less in the oven, it wasn’t quite as gooey as you’d expect. Overall a nice meal, just not quite Michelin Star to be honest. It is cheaper than most Michelin Star restaurants though.

I was really disappointed with our visit to this restaurant and I’m confused as to why there were so many 5* reviews. We came because it had been recommended by friends who had visited in previous years.
Within 30 minutes of sitting down we had finished our 2 courses. It was not a relaxing and enjoyable experience, we felt completely rushed and shuttled through.
The food was disappointing and nothing special. For starter I took the goats cheese spring rolls that were goats cheese wrapped in filo pastry and deep fried. My husband had the lamb croquettes that were more like a deep fried lamb meatball so quite fatty. For main course I took the steak. I requested it medium but it came medium-well with most of the meat cooked well done. My husband had the pork cheeks which he found bland. We had a tea and coffee at the end just to extend the time of our dinner to 45 minutes.
Overall very disappointing from the perspective of food and dining experience. We would have preferred fish and chips at a nearby pub where at least you could have relaxed and not felt rushed out.

We booked here for dinner on our whistle stop tour of the Dingle Peninsula as it seemed to be aiming high with its menu.
We liked that it has a tasting menu which usually means you get to try dishes or flavours that you would not normally not order off an a la crate menu. Also it takes away the hassle of trying to choose what you are ordering!
For those who don't wouldn't like everything on the tasting menu all its dishes are on the a la carte and also in slightly larger portions.
The food was very good and we enjoyed most of the dishes. The only one we were not over enamoured with was the mains which were Pork Cheeks...now there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, it was cooked perfectly (tender) it was simply a taste that we did not enjoy wholeheartedly. Possibly the reason for this was the amount, a smaller portion would have been sufficient, giving us the taste and flavour but not over whelming us with it as by its very nature cheeks can be strong flavoured and a little fatty. How often do restaurants get criticised for portions being too big?!! :)
But we really liked the seared scallops, the escargot croquettes, lobster ravioli, Dingle Gin sorbet, and the Dingle whiskey mousse for dessert.
On the service side, friendly and helpful staff who all wore face shields which is now the norm.
Though the service of the food was very rapid! Barely had an empty plate been taken away when it's following dishes arrived. No real spacing between each course. Only was the dessert served with a nice decent interval after the mains.
It does beg the question how much of the cooking is done in advance?
Slow down guys and let us savour the good food you have prepared for us to enjoy!!!

We ate here last night and in spite of all the challenges of covid the staff here played a blinder. Nice room, good atmosphere and friendly efficient service. We started with a nice kir royale (creme de cassis and prosecco).
I chose the wild home-smoked salmon and smoked salmon mousse to start. Arranged on slate and decorated with borage flowers it looked like a work of art. Spouse had half dozen oysters in the shell served with shallot vinegar and lemon to sprinkle over. Also really lovely.
We then had generous plates of pork cheek slow cooked in cider which came with some wilted spinach and sprouting broccoli. There were some nicely seasoned (deep fried?) baby potatoes that came with the pork. We had an extra side of mange tout, spinach and asparagus also very nice.
The wine list seemed small and fairly well chosen. A nice bottle of 6 year old Bordeaux washed everything down well. Thank you for all your efforts to give us a lovely, normal dining experience. We will return.....

One of the best restaurants, not just in Dingle but in Ireland right now. Super fresh food locally sourced and cooked with flair and originality. Portions are generous, menus are varied and interesting and it's well priced, the early bird menu is especially good value. Land to Sea is so good, I ate there two nights in a row, highly recommended 10/10

Land to Sea is a seriously good restaurant. This was our first visit to Dingle and no better way to end a memorable visit with a memorable meal.
The early bird menu represents exceptional value for food of this quality, using the best of local products. Every dish was cooked and presented to perfection.
We have been lucky to visit a number of Bib Gourmand restaurants and Land to Sea absolutely holds its own!
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Getting a restaurant booking in Dingle this August has been tough with plenty of competition from fellow Staycationers. We were delighted to get a tip off to book Land to Sea in advance. This is a seriously good restaurant. I will let more descriptive reviewers speak of the offering which was top notch in terms of quality of ingredients, flavours and presentation. Maintaining such quality in COVID times is a serious achievement. For those reviewers who felt rushed, I’m afraid that 2 sittings is probably the price of survival for restaurants such as this and for those who felt it was expensive, the Early Bird menu is exceptional value. “Fair winds and following seas”.

Very disappointed after reading good reviews we decided to come here. selection for children was very poor, went to order a mineral for a child only choice was coke or diet coke not good. Starter was good we ordered monkfish for main was the worst fish I have ever had in a restaurant not convinced it was fresh but maybe too overcooked, tasteless and rubber like texture even the side of potatoes were hard with no flavour. Found staff not the friendliest which is very usual in the west.

I'd say you wouldn't know a fresh fish if it leapt out of the sea and bit you on the nose!
I'm genuinely sorry if i over cooked it, something you didn't mention when you were checked halfway though your meal.
You ate it all, which is why we didn't deduct it from your bill.
You were a bit short when it came to paying, but our staff don't have time to count coppers, literally!
In the way of mineral's we offered you apple juice, orange juice and because we had run out of 7up
(which is so much better than coke?) we offered apple with sparkling water.... as well as coke.
"Found staff not the friendliest which is very usual in the west."
I sincerely hope that next year you can go back to Lanzarote on holidays so as you don't have to put up with the unfriendly people in the west.
If you complain they might even give you your meal for free!

The menu was not too large which was nice and it was full of wonderful sounding dishes, there were 5 of us for dinner, we had a bad experience the night before so we were pinning all our hopes on this restaurant and Land to Sea did not disappoint. We all had starters, mains and desserts, coffee and wine. Starters were all fabulous and no complaints from anyone. Lobster, scallops and goats cheese were the choices, for dinner, we ordered 2 lamb, 1 T-bone steak, 1 turbot and I had the monkfish. Every dish apart from my own was superb, my monkfish was just a little overdone which was a shame but they were very busy and I can forgive them for that as it was still very edible, all dishes came with new potatoes which were lovely too. The desserts were gorgeous too and very inventive with their use of ingredients. What made this experience special for us though was the staff, the 2 young ladies who served us were very polite, helpful and knowledgeable of the food on the menu. This is my new favourite restaurant in Dingle (this weekend is a once a year affair for friends) and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good adult food and wine experience – Land and Sea have this.

Table here midweek, a nice simple dining room to the front of the building.
Champagne to start, very good.
We got the smoked salmon to start and the presentation was beautiful, tasted divine. Mains , scallops were outstanding, as I didn’t have them throughout our staycation I was so glad we chose to have them here . Hake was also excellent.
Cheeseboard for desert, again presented beautifully. Breads beautiful.
A decent wine list, great staff, outstanding food, you wouldn’t go wrong.
I can only speculate how amazing the tasting menu would be and next time that’s what we will be going for .

Disappointing dinner and overpriced for what we got. One out of three felt they had great food but not enough to warrant the prices being charged! Felt the Place was lacking atmosphere and very robotic experience with staff, lacking friendliness. Overall would not recommend.

I would like to respond in these very testing times by two quotes by yourself in other reviews you have left:
"coffee is a bit of a rip off! Breakfast for €10 is an average price but honestly think a coffee should be included instead of adding an extra €3 for each one!"
"This makes Ireland look reasonable and we don't eat out at home as we feel it's expensive!"
This is a quote from a professional food writer from the Irish examiner in a review of our restaurant:
"good produce, superbly handled but, so ridiculously cheap..., I wonder if they are clearing their margins."

Firstly lovely building decor was very beautiful the place really looks top class from first impressions. My first visit I had 3 courses. Starter: Prawn Ravioli fresh pasta cooked perfectly with a beautiful fresh filling. Fennel sauce was one of the best I’ve ever tasted and completed the dish incredibly well and did not overpower the flavours of the prawn. I had to ask the waitress how the sauce was made I was that impressed. Main course: T bone steak cooked perfectly rare with a really good spectrum of colour going through the meat. Again sauce really complimented the dish and the potatoes served with it were nothing short of spectacular. Dessert: Dingle Whiskey and Honey moose with a sea salt and Carmel Ice cream. The two on their own were spectacular in their own right but the marriage of two together was nothing short of spectacular. Second visit was for the tasting menu. The sole reason for returning to Dingle and it did not disappoint. The scallops were cooked perfectly lovely and crispy on the outside and really good texture in the middle. They set the scene and the standard for the rest of the menu and the night bar was met time and time again for every course. The escargot croquettes were next and were the star of the show nothing short of spectacular. The lobster ravioli was like the prawn ravioli mentioned above. The lobster was as fresh as you could get and the sauce complimented the dish perfectly. The pork cheek and pigs ear crackling was beautifully cooked, incredibly tender and the crackling was beautiful, the precision required to get it so perfect is testament to Julians passion and master of his craft. The last course was the same desert as mentioned above and was as excellent as mentioned above. The wine list is extensive and contains quality wines no matter the budget. Finally the head chef/owner Julian is a master of his craft and an absolute gentleman. He the time to talk to customers and his passion and love for his restaurant, his food and how he treats is staff is a testament to him and his business. Couldn’t recommend Land to Sea more.
